Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?
It is pretty ridiculous. Brady is, by a factor of about 10, the best player ever to play for the Patriots. Yet, to read half the posts in here, you'd think he was 40 years old and a shadow of his former self or something. FFS, he's 32- in QB years, he's basically entering his prime. Yes, he got injured, but he's had quite a lot of time to rehab it, and if anyone's got the work ethic and dedication to make it happen, it's Brady. Anyone who thinks that it's irrational to actually wait until he's played a few games before declaring his career over just doesn't get how rare that kind of a QB is.
Cassel is not Brady. Cassel will almost certainly never be Brady. In fact, the odds of O'Connell equaling or surpassing Cassel look excellent compared to the odds of Cassel ever equaling Brady. Eventually, we're obviously going to have to switch QBs, but why rush the matter? We have the greatest quarterback of all time, and he's only 32 years old.
That's the problem. Fans SHOULD have an emotional investment in the team and the greatest player that has ever suited up for us.
You don't work in the fornt office... the buisness side of things shouldn't matter even a little bit to us THE FANS.
What kind of true fan turns their back on the best player to ever take the field for us just because he got injured and then says "it's all business". Are you kidding me? What kind of chit is that?
The guy got hurt. I think he has earned the support of his (so-called) fans, while he is likely working his ass off to get back on the field.
"It's all business". You gotta be f'in kidding me with that nonsense.
