I am not pleased with Revis at all. I hope he reports eventually, but I also hope the Jets don't give in to his outlandish desires. He can rot on the bench for the next four years for all I care - he doesn't deserve 16M a year. Team > Revis

It's more of just put your money where your mouth is, if you're going to come here and talk about how great the team is and how you're a true fan of the team, then don't bail as soon as the water gets rough.

And I'm not inviting the horde, merely wondering where Rexorcism/Rex Ryans Gut/NJ Jets fan (iirc thats his name) etc went.
You must have missed them today and yesterday because they have been around...

not to patronise but it's just funny reading that post then looking 2 inches down and seeing a big photo of revis as the best defensive player in the league. If you believe he is (and no doubt he is awesome) How much do you think he is worth then? because if he is the best he should get paid like the best no? Therefore he should get paid like the best corner in the league at least which is bench marked at the moment by the raiders

I thought about taking the picture down, but I still love him as a player, and I'm holding out hope that the situation will get resolved. If not, I'll throw David Harris up there or whoever.

Now to your question. I think he should honor his contract and shut the **** up. He has already gotten paid a lot of money, now he is just complaining because this is the down year in his contract in which he only makes 1M. He didn't have to sign this contract when he was a rookie [by the way, he held out for his current deal as well]. He should not be paid a dollar more than Asomugha. No cornerback should be making 16M a year. It's absurd. So therefore, he should not be paid like the best. He can get paid by the best when he hits free agency in however many years. Until then, he is under contract and I expect him to play.

That's a very reasonable response; I dunno why anyone would have a problem with it.

Hosts on WFAN, sports radio, here in NYC are freakin' out this Monday morning. All their criticism is on The Jets front office. They're ranting and raving with stuff like,"Front office pays Debrickishaw (sp) Ferguson? Front office pays Cromarte with his hundred baby mamas? And then they lowball a guy like Revis???!!! Who made 3 million last year? What? While people are paying 35 K for PSL'S? You gotta be kidding me!!!! Well, guess what? Revis threw them a curveball and buckled their knees."

ima lovin' it.
I came over here looking for the "Revis Holdout" thread, there wasn't one, so this one is it by default. There should be one, since it's the hottest by-proxy Pats related story right now.
