If the Dolphins lose in Buffalo and no one is there, do the Pats still clinch?

The Patriots would clinch the 2013 AFC East title, their fifth straight division crown, with a loss or tie by the Miami Dolphins. But we might have to take their word for it because the game won't be on TV and no one will be there, apparently.

Maybe one of you guys should go as a witness. 16,000 great seats still available at Ralph Wilson Stadium for the Dolphins game that will be played in the rain at 45 degrees. Lovely.

Would Buffalo fans feel better for eliminating the Dolphins from the post season or hoping that they lose to the dolphins, the Patriots lose @Ravens and then have the potential to beat New England for the final game.

They probably don't care either way :D.

Next weekend, the Bills will be happy to 1) be on TV, and 2) be out of Buffalo, NY.

If I ever lived in Buffalo (this is totally hypothetical, right?) I would be more concern would be finding a job and being able to pay my heating bill. The term "blackout" would have little to do with football.

    Statement:

“We are officially offended by PittPatriot's obvious lack of sensitivity as shown in this racist and vile attack on African American Bills Fans. The Decent People of America have placed PittPatriot under hiatus from speaking about anything, indefinitely. His personal views in no way reflect those of the DPA, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the AABF community.”

"The next step for PittPatriot is a week of sensitivity training with Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty while living with black LGBT Bills fans in Buffalo. If he redeems himself, he may be allowed to watch the Bills/Patriots game at Rudy's on the 29th, as a guest of the Buffalo Solders, an African American fan club of very tall O-lineman."

I live here. It's actually a beautiful place to live. I'd rather live here than where you live. Really.

This is the Buffalo football fans never get to see because the stadium is in the equivalent of Foxboro:

Hey, man...my bad. I didn't mean to say anything negative about the place you live or call home. I don't live in Pittsburgh (own property there but we moved from Suburban Philly to Columbus, OH a few months ago). Prior to this, I lived in suburbs of Chicago, Cincinnati, NYC, and Albany...so I have been around.
I have visited Buffalo a few times and driven through it often on the way to Niagra...but cannot compare it first hand to the other places I have lived from a lifestyle standpoint.
Anyway, have a safe winter up north...beware the White Walkers.

I thought you lived outside Camden, NJ? Had a friend in Haddonfield. Can't say it's my style.

By the way, Buffalo is the sunniest place in the northeast, and I bet you guys get more snow than I do. I'd be willing to bet a lot of money on that (judging from reports of my relatives in Philly).

Where were you in Buffalo? I ask because you don't go anywhere near the city on the way to Niagara.

Nice vid. Still couldn't pay me to live in buffalo. That highway system has destroyed many cities. Car lobby. Philly was once a great city. Then we had 2 highways sandwiched the city. Lost all valuable water front real estate. They almost built a 3rd to cut across the city (on south st) but multi protests! Lost the trolleys.

At least boston got it right now and put it underground even if it costs a lot now, they'll make it back.

Did I miss my opportunity to watch a game with you PittPatriot?

I apologize for dicking around a bit this season, it was not intentional. I have been driving back and forth to Youngstown, Ohio to deal with my dad's very poor condition with bone and lung cancer, so I have missed out on opportunities that I would have liked to pursue. It looks like I may even end up getting a small apartment up there and coming "home" to my wife on the weekends while I finish grad school, so that I can be closer to try and help him with daily aspects.

I still hope to have the option to still knock a couple/few beers back with you at the Saloon in Mt.Lebanon when you're up here dealing with your property at some point.

As far as Columbus goes, I lived in the Worthington/Upper Arlington/Dublin area awhile ago--and it is beautiful. Columbus is a cool city with lots to do. I actually think it's better than Pittsburgh any day of the week. It definitely seemed to be upscale and well kept. The people are very friendly and don't talk with a funny "yinzer" accent either.

I live in Toronto and Buffalo takes a lot of hits because of the poor economy etc but I will tell you this. The people who live and work in Buffalo, are the friendliest people I have ever met.
    Buffalo is a good place!

One July a few years ago I drove from San Diego, across Rt 66 to Chicago then to Boston and upstate NY was the prettiest part of the whole cross country drive. Other parts were more spectacular like the wide open spaces in New Mexico but spectacular is not pretty.

Camden is a toilet, but Haddonfield is a very nice upscale town.

When I lived near Philly in the 90s, there was one storm that had about 30 inches of snow. That storm was more than the highest total in a winter in 100 years, so no, Philly gets about 10% of the snow Buffalo does.

When you say Buffalo though, you're referring to the entire region, which makes you right. If you're referring to the city, you're wrong.

Read this from NOAA: Buffalo Climate Info

The city doesn't get Lake effect, and the sunniness of the city is also due to the fact that fronts don't come off the lake and stall over the city. Go 3 or 4 miles inland and you'll find clouds that stretch across the state (I used to commute from Buffalo to Rochester and I'd be in cloud cover 10 minutes into my drive).

    This is lake effect: http://message.snopes.com/showthread.php?t=3742

I live in the city, and I haven't had a big snow since a big freak October snow storm 7 years ago. That was the only 1 1/2 footer we got in the 11 years I've been living here, although 5 years prior to that they were walloped by one storm.

Worst place in the northeast is Charlestown, RI. It's a real hole, terrible place to live. Stay away from it at all costs.
