This article is funny ... if you don't like the former ball boy.

Mangini won't engage players critical of days as Jets coach - USATODAY.com

Guard Damien Woody told the same paper, "Here I am 31 years old, I've got my own kids and I'm married, and here's someone that's not so much older than me — or whatever the case may be — telling me what I can and can't do

It wasn't all that long ago that New York tabloids hailed Mangini as "Mangenious."

Where on earth did you hear that, Mangini did nothing wrong, well other then being unable to motivate or make in game adjustments.

i listen to a lot of sirius, so many jets players have said something along the lines that rex ryan is making football fun again, they are enjoying to play it this year, and he treats the players like men. they had a whole discussion on how rex ryan is treating all teh players "like men" and with more respect.

I follow the Jets message boards quite a lot, and have heard the same comments. I just think it is a leap to say that they hated him, although some no doubt did (Kerry Rhodes). I would think that most NFL Coaches are hard ass and not universaly loved by there players (McDaniels, Coughlin).

i agree, i can just almsot gaurantee that players hate it when coaches take the fun out of the game. yes its a job and all that, but if these guys are having fun, they are almost undeniably performing well, winning and improving. you dont have fun while sucking.
