Between the euphoria Patriot fans have had in the first 48 hours of free agency, there is still much roster building remaining to be completed.

There has been plenty of discussion on what the Patriots should do in this off-season. Here is an opportunity for all Armchair General Managers to lay out their plans for the Pats' 2017 season. Let's hear what your order of priorities would be if you were the GM.

For example:
  • Re-sign Dont'a Hightower
  • Extend Malcolm Butler
  • Trade Jimmy Garoppolo and use the first pick on an OT
  • Trade Jimmy Garoppolo and use the first pick on a LB
  • Retain JG as insurance against injury & future starting QB, etc.

For the purposes of the poll only list your top priority.

In the comment section rank your priorities from #1 to whatever.

Priority means where the energy must go first and that clearly is to sign Hightower. All the other items may follow.

Hightower and Butler are 1a, 1b for me

I want hightower back, but if they use that money to resign Butler that'd be pretty cool too

I voted other. Hightower is a up there on the priority list but that pass rush needs a serious upgrade. Flowers is up and coming but Rob Ninkovich is TOAST! The middle of the DLINE is more run stuffing then pocket collapsing.

There really are no pass rushing LB's so where is this pass rush suppose to come from?????

A forced ranking works better here. I'm for:
  1. LB, whether through Hightower or someone else.
  2. Swing OT (I shudder to think what happens when one of our starters gets injured, because keeping people away from Brady is what makes everything else work in the offense.)
  3. Edge player (athletic replacement for an aging Nink)
  4. Running back who weighs more than 145 pounds wet.

Staff members breaking all the rules.

Expansion of space spying program from the Moon to Mars.

In Order:

Sign:
Hightower
extend Butler
Mangold
Gillislee

trade Jimmy G for #12 and second rd pick this year and 2 second rd next year.
Use #12 for De of L OT, dependent on BB opinion of Jacoby B

Hightower #1 easily. If that happens, I'm "okay" without Butler.

Have high doubts that the OL will be able to have the luck with staying healthy they did this past season, so addressing that in some way might be #2 at this stage.

Butler has no leverage.. he is locked up for this season. I hope they keep JG for the season but the biggest Priority left is resigning Hightower.

I would take 1 or 2 more Super Bow runs with Brady then let him walk for the last year or two where ever he wants to go. And let JG take over so he can give us another 10+ years of competitive play. Thats what I want. I want Brady for 2 more seasons and then I want JG to take over.

The most your missing out on with Brady is 1 maybe 2 seasons at that point.

Unless Bill doesn't think JG is that good and is not worth trying to work this out.

If I could have, I would've voted for 1, 2, 3, 6 & 8.

1. Resign Hightower
2. Extend Butler (depending on what he wants)
3. Sign either Blount, Latavius Murray, or Eddie Lacy to a 2-3 year deal
4. Replenish draft picks by trading Garoppolo
5. Use first rounder from Garoppolo trade on Taco Charlton or Haasan Reddick
6. Take best players available throughout rest of draft because not many positions of need.

Other potential moves contingent upon the ones above:
Sign Demarcus Ware on 1 year deal if no Garoppolo trade
Trade for Mychal Kendricks if no Hightower resigning
