Assuming we resign Edelman would you trade Mallett and Amendola to Houston for #33?

Poll Question (vote above)

This scenario based on the assumptions the teams resigns Edelman.

An alternate option would be to franchise Edelman with the intent to trade him and Mallett for the #33 pick and then Houston works out a long-term deal with Edelman. (This seems highly unlikely)

Awesome..................

It is a poll question, it has nothing to do with Amendola, or Edelman it is about us not needing both and have the potential to get a draft pick in the second round of a deep draft.

Where is the potential to get the #33 pick coming from because I'm pretty sure you just made this one up

The Patriots would make that trade, but I don't think Houston would want any part of it.

Yes of course, i'm not sure Houston is interested

He can't go a day without starting another Amendola thread. As soon as one ends he starts another to make the same idiotic posts another 4,000 times.

It's NEM Jr.

Being polite. NO.

A decent (not great) back up QB who knows your system and a decent (not great) wide receiver who, although you overpaid for him does not suck. Trading both of them for guy who may or may not contribute to the team next year.

Not being polite, um, who's drunk and/or "special"?

I refuse to do research, but I'm sure I can find guys picked 20-40 who did not have great rookie years. We are not talking a sure thing , like Andrew Luck.

Yeah. Honestly it's a deal that doesn't make sense from either team's standpoint, imo.

do they throw in JJ Watt too?

NO BB would NEVER make that trade. Accellerating Amendola's deal into dead money, would kill it.

Just because Dumb and Dumber Draftniks want another pick to play with, does not mean BB is stupid too, and would screw up his CAP to end up with 2 fewer players,as well.

Oh... look..... another Brady6 thread.... getting old.

According to datascopeanalytics.com:

"Picking at the end of the second round only gives your team a 50% chance of finding a starter. Going towards the end of the round 3, your chance of finding a starter falls to ~30%."

Obviously this will increase picking at the top of round 2, but there's still a huge bust rate no matter what. There is no guarantee that we'd be getting a good player.

I just had a ras-I-dowling flashback. Followed by a Tavon Wilson flashback. Lets keep the players we have.

NOW i want to change my poll vote

Still think we should have moved up that year, although it's easy for me to sit here and say that too. For all we know, BB may have attempted to do so, but I think we all felt that JJ Watt was a player who was worth giving up a couple of picks for.

if the pats had #33 they would trade #29 for a late 2th and a few mid round picks so you just traded a starter in Amendola for a few ST players,

pats went to the AFCCG and only have 3 starters that are FA's I don't see a need to add 10 more rookies to the roster

I did not know that every question we asked had to have a genesis.
