Things being the way that they are - injuries and rookies assimilating to the system - this is a game that I expect to lose. Especially when you factor in the destruction we've faced at the hands of the Saints and Brees/Peyton before.

But I don't care. We're not undefeated this season and I think we'll still end up 12-4 and if we're gonna drop a game let's drop an NFC game to a team who is probably going to run the table against the AFC East.

We'll be a different team come December. A much better team and this time I hope that extends to February.

We will lose. We always face Brees during our down year. Even though running the ball is the key to win, we just don't have the team to pull it off. I am expect this thing to be over by the third quarter.Ryan Mallett might even get to play.

Wow! A little dissapointed so many voted no. I think many fans must be stll thinking of the epic beatdown in 09.

Not even close to the same defense as 09. I'm going to go with a tossup. Never mind, they are going to win. They are at home, they are going to have Gronk and this defense will be able to hold them under 30. 34 -28 Pats. I think the veterans and rookies will feed off each other for the offense Sunday.

I like your attitude. Boston sports fans have a tendency to try to manage expectations by being pessimistic, I think it shows guts to buck the trend

Also believe we take it this week. Defense is amazing and if Gronk is back it will be a plus. I dont know maybe it's a long shot but I think we got this.

As long as the Saints bring the offenses of Buffalo, NYJ, Tampa Bay or Cinci our D will be great. Unfortunately I assume they will bring their own O, so I'll go with Saints 38 - Pats 13.

not without tommy kelly being also out and a injured ridley. We need to run the ball on this defense and get pressure up the middle. Our D can get exposed in this game for lack of Dline depth.

Not confident about this one, probably the first time with a healthy Brady that I've gone into a game thinking we are most likely losing this one since maybe 2002. Hope I'm wrong. I just don't see Gronk making that much of a difference this early on which the offense clearly needs, DA didn't look like himself yet either last week, and the rookies have been hit or miss - at best. Who knows how healthy/effective Ridley and Bolden can be which is absolutely crucial going against someone as good as Drew Brees. Brees has had alot of success against BB historically and right now I believe the Saints are the best all around team in the NFL.

On the plus side I think we have an excellent shot at 7-2 going into the bye, defense is the best one we've had since 2007, and it looks like Tommy Kelly won't be out too long after what looked like a very bad injury. Barring another injury to Gronk/DA I think we'll see a huge difference in this offense after the bye, and hopefully get Vereen back.

The Pats had a BAD game last week. It happens. Maybe this is the game where NO stinks it up. If the Rooks and Co. can catch and hold onto the ball this weekend, we've got a good chance. I'm not overly confident of a win, but I'd love to be wrong. EDIT: The Oline needs to step up to pull this one out.

I voted up for grabs, but I dont see NO stinking up. Though no one is talking, Saints are on a mission, and plenty mad about the excessive treatment they recieved last year. You can see it in the players, SP, and the many postings from fans.
The 2013 Saints: A Return to Glory - YouTube

We're away from home on a hostile field, against the best QB and coach to ever play the game. A good defence, rising WR's/RB's , and a solid fan base. Brees/SP/Ryan could easily get outplayed, but I dont think youll see this team ever giving up and having a ridiculously horrible game. They are going to keep comming.

I really see this game as a squeakier, were who has the best FGK becomes very important, and taking a chance on 4th down with cost you the game if you dont make it.
This is not the 2009 team either, but your in for a fight. Im sure of that.

Nope. Saints too good. Pats O has major issues. Will be close in the 4th...but Saints win...and the jets will win and be tied with the pats....yeah

Glad i am working during the game becasue i don't think it will be pretty

They seem to play best when almost everyone thinks they are going to lose. I think (hope) they will come out fast and finish strong.

And everyone is making the Saints out to be world beaters...

Week 1 Home: they put up 23 points against an Atl defense that has proven to not be anything to write home about and down by 6 Matt Ryan had a couple shots from inside the 5 to score a go ahead TD with under a minute to go.

Week 2 Away: they had to kick a field goal inside the last 2 minutes to get to 16 total points for the 16-14 victory over Tampa Bay.

Week 3 Home: crushed the Cardinals 31-7.

Week 4 Home: beat Dolphins handily 38-17.

Week 5 Away: beat the Bears 26-18.

So, yeah, they're 5-0 but they haven't been running up the score like the Broncos. And in the 2 away games they have played they averaged 21 points, which isn't bad, but it's not the greatest show on turf either. I think the Pats have a real chance to play the disrespect card for real for the first time in a long time.

if Im not mistaken all those defenses had a better DL than the Patriots, is that right?

How are they going to pressure Brees when Cardinals can't ? Not try to start anything mean, just want to know what you think.

But look at points allowed, the most important stat:

NE is second to KC. Just sayin....

i want gronk to get a TD for my FF team

I wouldn't watch if i didn't think they were going to win.

New Orleans will get up early, blitz the heck out of Brady and run away with this. Mark it down.

I hope you're right. Saints blitz based on Brady so far in 2013 makes good sense. Things are different, however.

Blitzing Brady with Amendola, Gronkowski, Edelman, Dobson and Thompkins as his five receivers is suicide.
