Josh has Three SB rings and 4 AFC Champ. rings.
In fairness, I don't think you get a ring unless you go to the Super Bowl, but you do get a lovely gift basket though.

You don't really believe that do you?
He may not know much about defensive game planning (though I am sure he would be fine) but he games plans against defenses all the time so I am sure his knowledge of defense is very extensive.
I personally do NOT think Josh is ready to be the leader of an entire football organization -- coaches, media, star players. He is still seasoning - I think he is 31 or 32 for chrissake.
It seemed clear that BB counseled him to not take a HC position last year. I would think that BB would give him the same advice for the next few years....
BB seems to have a way with people, for example keeping Pioli in the fold, in his role, happy.
Josh has to notice that Mangini is now DONE as a HC. Burned his one chance in 3 years, before he reached 40. (Hah!)
Do you think that JM will notice and stick around Foxboro next year? I do

Where did Martz get a ring? **** Vermeil was the HC of the Rams when they won in 99.McDaniels is the same age as Tom Brady. He also knows nothing about defense. At least Mike Martz has a ring, what has McDaniels ever won?
Off topic but it's great that some can finally admit Belichick is hands off with the offense and that all the dropped balls, choking in big offensive moments, and certain over-thinking play calls are on the coordinator.
If he's smart, he will realize he is the product of the system and won't last a season on his own without a team with this much offensive talent. If Patriots are smart, they will send him packing. This guy is so over-rated it isn't funny.
Before anyone goes off about how the offense set the scoring record last year, i would say that any one of us could have done that with Brady, Moss, Welker et all healthy all year.
They guy needs to add some creative wrinkles to this offense. Take a look back at Weiss' playbook you dumb ass. How about the QB throw-back and for God's sake, we used to be a dominating screen team. Also, how about getting Maroney the ball in the flats whre his speed, power and elusiveness will be put to use.
Yeah, and how did he do what he did this year with Cassel, not Brady as his QB? The Pats did average 25.6 PPG this year. The Pats had as many 40 plus point games this year as last year. And Cassel was on a learning curve for most of the first half of the year.
Are we really going to argue the anyone can do what they did with the talent they did last year argument. I thought that argument has been debunked for a while now.

The answer is simple. Cassell stinks! And until the Patriots brass realize this, this team will have a 50-50 shot at winning every week.
O'Connell is young and inexperienced but he should has already shown more than Cassell has in 4 years. Cassell should have been cut in pre-season.
O'Connell will make mistakes along the way, but he is already a better QB than Cassell will ever be. Hopefully, Pats will expedite his training and he will start in 2 weeks.
I'm pretty sure they get rings, maybe not - but either way his contribution is obviously not that of a Super Bowl winning coach like Martz.
He was a Defensive Coaching Asst. in 2002-03 and the QB Coach in 2004 - and a Personel Asst. in 2001 (He probably did not get a ring then - but Maybe).
If he was smart he would continue here, have success, make plenty of money, and replace BB. If he had to wait 12-15 years, he becomes a HC in his mid 40's.
Personally, I think that was BB's plan with Mangini. He didn't listen.
Think rings are only for Super Bowl winners and losers, but I could be wrong. But I agree with your general overall point. McDaniels has been a contributor to some pretty good year to great years with the Pats.
The Coaching staff gets them, but I don't know how far down the line they go with them -Those things are pretty EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!
If I remember correctly, Matt Walsh got one for the 2001 Super Bowl - and if that turd got one, I hope Josh did as well.

And if Josh fails in his first effort at being a coach, he will be a failure forever??????????????
I seem to recall a certain Clevelenad coach. Seriously, Josh will be at least as marketable having been a head coach for 2-5 to five years
And if Pioli goes, Josh just might give Pioli's offer special consideration.
Uhhhhhhh, nope.
It was Martz. I know, I was there.
McDaniels should wait 3 years. Right now he is 32, same age as Tom Brady. In 3 years he can probably just take over as head coach of the 3-peat Superbowl champions in New England, or have his pick of a good franchise instead of build a crappy one with little control for himself.
At age 35, he can get his first taste as a head coach and still be extremely young with a long future ahead of him even if he fails his first time.
Uhhhhhhh, really? What kind of drugs were you on?Uhhhhhhh, nope.
