Will Win - Aaron Rodgers
Should Win - Tom Brady

I don't want tommy to win it. I reallt believe in that mvp curse.

Will win- Ezekiel Elliot
Should win- Matt Ryan

Ryan probably but Elliot deserves a lot of credit along with Brady and Carr. No clear leader this year IMO.

I don't buy into judging MVP by the quality of the backup.

It'll probably be Ryan, but Brady will get his share of votes.

Will win- Matt Ryan

Should win- Matt Ryan

Disclaimer if Brady just played in 2 or so more games and had like 31 TD's and 2 picks and go 11-1 I would say Brady.

Ryan is a solid choice. Brady had a historic year with his TD to INT ratio but is hurt by having a solid well rounded and coached team. Rodgers was not great for much of the year but he is the new Manning who will forever has his butt kissed by the press. Farve was that guy before him. The Cowboys players will cancel each other out. This could be a tie year. The fact there are so many reasonable candidates could make a tie or even a triple tie happen.

Will win: Rodgers. The media can't help themselves with that whole "called shot" narrative. (Not that he's undeserving.)

But... in Brady's starts, Patriots won as many games as Ryan's Falcons and one more than Rodgers' Packers. In 4 fewer starts!

Also, the 28:2 thing is just obscene.

Another MVP thread or a roundabout Rodgers bashing thread ?

I've never understood why so many Pat fans hate Rodgers. I can understand hating Peyton, Eli, Luck or even Ben, but Rodgers isn't even in our conference and we have never lost to him in the Super Bowl...I know the media is pretty much in love with him, but for me he's down on my list of players that I hate!!!

It's because we are fiercely protective of our belief that Brady is the GOAT and Rodgers is one of the two biggest challengers to that claim in the last 20 years (along with Pink Head).

The media fawns over Rodgers more than Brady and that doesn't sit well with a lot of Pats fans on here, since it hurts the public perception of Brady as the GOAT. As much as some people on this board like to say that they don't care what the public perception is, they'll post a link to, and try to tear down, any point that the media makes that puts Rodgers ahead of Brady (including the MVP race).

To answer the original question, I'd say Ryan and Ryan. I'd love to say Brady but it's hard for me to give the MVP to someone who missed four games, even though it was a hatchet job, just trying to be objective.

Well David Carr didn't throw ANY ints this year! Take THAT Tom

Rodgers will win b/c the media loves him (and he had the third best QB season). Especially the calling his shot and winning 6 games in a row - like it has never been done before
Ryan should win it. Brady would have had a chance with all 16 games, but Ryan had the 5th highest rated QB season ever and his over 9 yards per attempt is insane.

At least for me it is because he is the new Manning. He doesn't just throw a TD, he throws a TD that no one else on the planet could throw.
I mean half the message board and some of the media are/were ready to move on from Brady for Jimmy G during this season.
I respect that Rodgers is great, but I think the media just really tries to make him out to be the best, they even go as far as to say he is the most "talented" QB in history, which is really subjective and hard to prove/disprove.
Also, people always ding Brady for having BB, but apparently Rodgers has the best pass blocking OL in the league, which allows him to sit back there and find the open guy.
He definitely isn't my least favorite player, but it is just frustrating that a guy like Ryan has a great year and probably deserves the MVP and will most likely lose to Aaron Rodgers because he lead his team to 10-6, and the media will forget he also led them to 4-6, with one of the losses coming agains the Falcons.

You know, I don't really care. Brady is the best QB I've ever seen, but football is a team game and I'd much rather the team won a couple more Belichicks than seeing TFB win a couple more MVP's.
