Claim to pup him maybe?
They both are good looking prospects
Im happier with this then trading for a aging expensive Tate?
Brandon Tate is still available

Flash Gordon. I'd make it a conditional pick. If he plays 500 snaps it's a 4th rounder. 1000yrds receiving a 2nd rounder.

Gordon is a full crack pipe away from the penitentiary.

He held himself out of training camp because he was not mentally prepared to attend after all off season.

Dez Bryant is still the prize WR.

Sign him to a 2 year deal like Revis. He comes to NE and blows it up and is free to make his fortune next year. Move some cap money around to fit Bryant in. There is always a way.

Hypothetically, Gordon.
That is far from measured risk.
He has played 10 games in FOUR YEARS. No more than 5 in any of them. The chance of trading for him today and having him playing after thanksgiving may be less than 5%.

Which is why he is worth a conditional pick.

OK so you would not offer anything for him?

Josh Gordon continues to be a delusional pipe dream (pun intended) for too many people. Dude has played how many games over the past 4 seasons?

He could have been the next Randy Moss, but its never going to happen.

Which is why he is worth a conditional pick.

Whats happens if he goes south again? 8 games in? Playoffs?

Youre right back to square 1 needing a WR who would have to come in and learn the offense.

What if he doesn't? We can play this what-if game all day.

I'm OK adding him for a conditional pick. If week 9 he goes on a pot bender and it only cost a low rounder we still have Jules, Gronk, White, Hogan, Dorsett, Toast, etc.

On the other hand, Golden Tate if the trade involves getting rid of dead weight Malcolm Brown.

Here's another reason the Pats may have signed Hansen, his ability to read defenses and run option routes, based on his college's offense, a necessity with TFB as QB that others before him didn't always have (ocho cinco, Galloway)
Jets pick Chad Hansen piled up college numbers with flair

There’s at least one area in which the air raid should help, not hurt, his draft stock.
>>>>>>
A feature of the modern spread is receivers running option routes that require them to read defenders and find grass.

“Honestly, I think that’s bigger than running the full route tree in college,” he says. “As a receiver, you pride yourself on being able to run routes, and I think that running routes isn’t all that hard. But something that is a little bit tougher for maybe some people is reacting and reading a defense on the fly, and I think that’s something that has really helped me in being in this offense.>>>>>

It’s not that simple. You are building a team and growing it toward a goal. You only have 20 weeks. An offense develops over the course of a season. You can’t just try a guy build around him then go back to like he was never here when he flakes.

I understand that which is why I want him now.

With him, my risk tolerance is higher that yours.

Gordon has not been reliable. Taking himself out of 2018 training indicates that he still has problems.

The problem is that MB is not dead weight. Who would play his position?

It’s not the risk tolerance as much as the risk level. I see zero chance he will play the season out.
Hell he just didn’t show up for camp because he was sad that he had to deal with a child custody case.
This guy could check himself in or spark up because his cornflakes were soggy.
You just don’t stake your chances on a guy like that.

Last year the Pats run D allowed .76 MORE yards without Brown on the field.

Hes not a rock star but saying hes dead weight is dramatic
