Brown is out for Sunday, Lewis is questionable. Which would be the greater loss to the team if neither is able to go? Solder is already on the IR, is his loss worse than either of the other two?

Agreed with Solder. One of the best left tackles in the game protecting the goat's blind side.

Dion adds a dynamic to the offense that makes the pats incredibly tough to stop. Brown is easier to replace / scheme around.

I think Dions going to be good to go he was posing for promo pictures yesterday
I hope so. I wondered if he was listed out of an abundance of caution and to get into the Colts heads. If he plays and picks up good yardage they will probably claim the Pats cheated, abusing the injury report, Ted Wells will investigate whether Dion really had a tummy ache.

If Dion doesn't go I'd think he'll be the hardest to replace. OL is routine with next man up. CB is thin but there are several young kids waiting their turn to be the next Malcolm Butler story. Dion is an unexpected gem this year, his skills against the Colts known weakness would be a big advantage. I just don't see Blount or one of the othe RBs doing the same. None of them seems likely to have a breakout game, of course neither did Jonas. But I still think this would be the hardest injury for the Pats to overcome for this game.

true....although i did see someone mention a sports hernia..
Hope he is good to go. I'm not a doctor but it would seem to me that unless he had surgery or some other procedures to fix it a sports hernia is not going to heal itself. Does anyone else know more about them? Anyway if that's his problem I'm guessing the question is whether he can play with it, and whether that would make it get worse. We will see, tomorrow night.

Solder without a doubt.

Lewis, if he's not able to go. And it's not even remotely close. They can swap Vollmer to LT and not lose much with Solder going to IR. Brown hasn't been available in the last couple of weeks and the defense has been humming because of the pass rush and McCourty being back there to clean things up for CB's not named Butler. Lewis is an essential cog in this offense and I don't see there being a replacement RIGHT NOW on the roster. He's vital to both the passing and the running game.

I think White should be ok to fill in for Lewis if need be. My initial vote would be for Solder, just want to see how Cannon plays in a starting role and where he plays. Our secondary is exceptionally thin but hopefully with Indy's horrible O-line, we get pressure on Luck and it's not that big of an issue.

What happened with Hightower, I haven't seen anything about him and his injury.

Saw a report that he was practicing.. he is listed as questionable.

Brown played in nickel package last week, replacing Ryan outside. So, this week, Ryan won't be pulled. This is NOT huge.
===================
Increasing Vollmer's reps and perhaps moving him is huge. Solder may not be great, but he is a better talent than Cannon.

We had two really good OT's who were fresh at the end of games, because Cannon gave them time off during the game. And Cannon could come in at any time if there was an injury. This troika worked very well indeed.

Now, Cannon will need to start replacing Solder. In addition, the backup will be Fleming instead of Cannon, a significant drop off. If you don't believe that Cannon is much better than Fleming, then we are in ever more trouble, since Cannon is starting. IMHO, Fleming will not be part of a rotation.

Agree with your analysis, disagree with how big a deal having Solder out and bumping up Cannon and Fleming will be. I think that having Dion Lewis unable to go and having to replace him with White or Bolden would be a bigger loss to the offensive firepower. There is a drop off in both areas, and they interact. I've got confidence Lewis could run effectively with Solder out. Not so sure about his backups.

I have to go with Solder, although I like Cannon more than most people here. Can't have too many OL, particularly tackles!

Brown will hurt a lot if it's season-ending - they'll need to replace him, as they're simply too thin back there without him.

Lewis will play, I think, and if not, I expect White to step right in. He won't fully replace Lewis, of course, but the guy is ready.

Most of us don't know what it's like to not have good to stellar LT play because we've been spoiled with Light and Solder for 15 years.
