Neither did James White, that is because you can't put a rookie RB out there if he doesn't know pass protection and blitz pick up. You would get your franchise QB killed. Of course the Pats don't have that problem anymore.

Granted he's a young player, but he has been pretty underwhelming in what little we have seen of him.

I don't hate anyone. I never said Stidham is a bad guy or anything like that, although the throne thing was a ridiculous thing to do for a kid who hasn't proven squat.

Saying Stidham reeks at his job is not hate. It's being honest. I don't expect him to make the team this year.

not saying this is the case, but it is entirely possible with the team they had out there and with the lack of preseason, that they felt holding stidham back was a good idea......maybe he just isn't the guy.....don't see how anyone outside the organization has enough evidence to make the call

When I have seen him in games, he makes some good plays, at least looks the part and should never throw that pass to the right sideline, always late. That's all I know.

Imo there are question marks as to how he takes coaching. I don’t expect Bill would have interest but who knows? I expect a draft pick (not 1) and a “bridge” on a cheaper deal. Just not sure it looks any better next year.

Move up draft to get Trey Lance. A 20yr kid. Build around him next 2yrs... He could be QB for Patriots in years to come... He has traits of Mahomes and speed of Lamar... Panthers or 49ers will get the kid, if Patriots don't move up.

As much as I’d love to see a bold trade up I’m getting the feeling we’ll do the opposite. Feels like some team behind us in the draft could offer to overpay to move to our spot to get Jones or a top guy if they slip.
