jets theory looks like horrible odds right now, but just wait till the endorsment opportunity idea pops into archie's head lol

i'm telling you, kings of ny

anyway, kc ain't that bad a place if he wants to, they have alot of talent, and hell montana ended up there, so why not peyton , a qb who isn't as good as montana , but who is recognized as one of the best qbs of all time

How's this for a tale to dream for...

Peyton lands in Denver...I know, not likely they would bring in someone like Peyton with tebow around, so tebow ends up on the block. By some stroke of luck the Jersey jets decide tebow is their answer! I mean c'mon what is more smash mouth than letting that big goof running the option for you every damn play. as far as Rex goes, all tebow has to do is bring in a bag of chips and he's good!
F
In their post trade excitement, they deal Sanchez to Minnesota, who continues to be the laughing stock of the NFL...

Why would you want increased competition in the AFC? What benefit would it be to our team if we were denied another SB due to a loss in the playoffs etc because Manning took a mediocre team with potential and used his great skill set to beat us?

I see nothing wrong with a more competitive conference (or division, for that matter). I am tired of 13-win seasons against a bunch of weak sisters, only to witness defeat at the hands of a stronger conference. Not that I'm tired of 13-win seasons, but I would rather see them against better teams.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't want any additional competition in the AFC. I think that's a no-brainer.

Then maybe BB should consider picking up Manning? That would eliminate the competition!

Denver

And watch the Tebowmaniac's heads explode.

Denver actually makes a lot of sense. He's probably the one guy (that's available, anyway) that Denver fans would accept coming there to replace Tebow. How could any Denver fan say, no, we'd rather have Tebow than....Peyton Manning!?? Orton, fine. Manning, yikes.

So Elway would get to sit Tebow and give him more time to develop. What better guy to learn how to pass the ball from than Peyton Manning. And if it doesn't work out, they could always go back to Tebow.

They could say to their fans, if Peyton can't do the job, hey, we went for it. We believe in Timmy and we wouldn't have done this (sit him) for anyone else, but we had to roll the dice on one of the greatest QBs of all time. It was worth the shot, and now we can just put Tebow back in there.

Peyton throwing to Thomas and Decker and (assuming he follows Peyton) Wayne, with McGahee and Moreno running, and an improved defense. That's actually a pretty good situation.

The Bronco theory is fascinating. They have the cap space, $20M under before counting almost $30M in potential rollover. Don't really have an installed and functional offense per se as a result of the Tebow experiment. Question is does Elway have the stones and would Peyton want to play in a venue where it can snow in September.

The AFC has been the stronger conference for most of the Patriots run, so I don't know where you're getting the "tired of...." from.

So far 12 teams have inquired. 7 are known and include the Broncos and Titans...as well as Miami, AZ, Skins, Seattle and the JETS. 5 want their interest kept secret for now... Andrew Brandt thinks this level of interest will create leverage making settling for a largely incentivized deal unnecessary... If he somehow lands in Tennessee Colt fans heads will explode all over Jim Irsay... I wonder if the JAGS are one of the 5. They should be.

Manning will end up in Seattle or New Orleans in my honest opinion. I know New Orleans placed the Exclusive Rights Free Agent tag on Brees, but that was before Bountygate. And that was before Loomis and Payton knew that Manning would be on the Market.

I don't see him wanting to face the Pats 2 times a year, so that would rule out Miami and the Jets.

I don't see Manning wanting to face his brother 2 times a year, ruling out Washington.

Arizona just coughed up a 2012 2nd round draft pick and Rodgers-Cromartie last year for Kolb. To turn around and admit it was a mistake now would be very bad for them.

I don't see Manning going to Houston, Tennessee or Jacksonville to face his former team twice a year.

There was a time when NO would have been Manning's dream scenario aside from finishing in Indy. It's where he grew up and where Archie and Olivia still live. But that ship has probably sailed as a result of Bountygate. Between the likely loss of Nicks, Colston and Meachum, and the loss of draft picks that is coming, and the fact that Brees isn't likely willing to jeopardize his own legacy and they share an agent named Tom Condon, not gonna happen.

It will be interesting to see if there is anything to Marshall Faulk's blather that the family doesn't want the brothers in the same conference. Would be pretty stupid since the odds of them matching up in a superbowl in the next 3-4 years are pretty slim no matter what conference each plays in given the Giants have already made it to two and faced us both times...and the Colt made it to two and the Giant were nowhere in sight. I could see where this was a plan of sorts when Eli was drafted, not to have them directly competing for anything ever unless it was a championship, but on Peyton's back 9 (which is likely 3) his goal should begin with just having a decent shot at winning a division or even making the playoffs.

For me the question is less where and morenwhen at this point. 24 hours since he was released and I'm sick to death of it. Boy, the Saints sure caught a lucky break with the timing of this one.

Money, motivation, Manning.....it all comes out to Miami....the rest are playing for second place at this point

I heard on the radio down here from Freeman at CBS that the top three are allegedly Washington, Denver and i forgot the last one, probably because I was shaking my head at the first two. I think it was Seattle.

Please go to Miami ... i just want to see the fast slob running the YETS fighting the Bills for the last place in the division

According to Marshall Faulk he will not go to an NFC team because of Eli.

Bryne makes some good points. Especially the dome issue. Brees and Manning both are historicially average outdoors.

Peyton Manning is now a celebrated free agent, but one in decline - Kerry J. Byrne - SI.com

Man, if I were him, I'd be dying to show everyone that my little brother is still my little brother.

I heard that it will be the team who offers the most guaranteed money and I agree. I know he doesn't need it, but money is usually where its at.

There's a sports channel on my TV that is gushing nonstop over Peyton Manning.

I think they are called

Elway could then sweeten his draft pot by trading Tebow to JAX where the fans would actually buy fix to see the homeboy

as I predicted, BountyGate fades from the fleeting sports media memory allowing Roger to focus blame on Williams and the GM, cover up the investigation's spread to guys like Jeff Fisher and soften the draft pick penalty to NO with nobody looking.

I have a dark horse candidate - Tampa. They have a ton of money and I cannot think of a team that is more in need of an excitement upgrade than Tampa is.

98.5 is reporting that Manning has ruled out the Redskins
