2 mannings in NY, with the possibility of all those endorsments, and a manning all NY superbowl?

that's too good to pass up for that family

Trying to think of a surprise team. would Jerry Jones try to get in on the manning derby?

I could see that. My "whoa" prediction remains Manning and Wayne to Saints, freeing Brees to go to .. Miami? (A move that I think would improve the Dolphins more surely than adding PM would.)

that would be funny since miami and sd were the only other teams to bid on brees back in 06

It's the Jets, no question. The real question is whether they keep Sanchize around as an understudy and hope he gets good in three years, or trade him. That's the question that needs to dominate the NY media for the next couple of months. Please.

It just doesn't make sense -- too big a circus there and very unstable franchise/environment. Plus outdoors, cold weather, etc., and the Green Beans would have to start all over again in three years. But they're desperate, so who knows?

Denver

And watch the Tebowmaniac's heads explode.

Might be fun just to see how S. Holmes reacts to his first Manning face or "you were supposed to go that way" hand gestures after an incompletion.

unless denver offers so much more than any other team, manning doesn't seem like the kind of person who would displace a guy like tebow

just my opinion

I was just thinking of this, too...Holmes is such a little d!ck...can you see the headlines on the NY Post back page?

The Forehead and the Foreskin Not Eye To Eye

You mean a virgin?

If he goes anywhere I hope it's in the AFC, I want at least one more Brady-Manning rivalry game. If he signed with Washington it would be depressing because that would pretty much mean the Brady-Manning rivalry would be over.

I voted Miami

He isn't going to go to Washington and compete in the same division as little brother, forget the Jests, there's no way he'll take part in that freak show.

I thought for a bit that maybe he would go to Seattle, but even people that are born and raised here can't stand this weather.

I'd rather he went to Arizona (and it wouldn't surprise me if he did) but I bet he ends up in Miami.

Poor Jaguars.

A lot of people seem to think he'll make a decision by March 13th or 14th so whatever team he signs with will be able to make FA moves to benefit him and also how much they will have to spend.

What about Minnesota? Do they have money for him? If they added Manning and Wayne they would have a powerful offense.

Why would you want increased competition in the AFC? What benefit would it be to our team if we were denied another SB due to a loss in the playoffs etc because Manning took a mediocre team with potential and used his great skill set to beat us?

As far as I'm concerned, I don't want any additional competition in the AFC. I think that's a no-brainer.

As for your wanting "one last game," there are a bunch of possible options this yr for you to see that....

Seattle

Arizona

Denver

Miami

possibly even teams like SF, St Louis etc too.

Almost every team outside of the AFC besides maybe Washington who is linked to Manning will play the NEP this yr. Then we could have him out of the AFC AND you can get your "one more game" wish....

All 6 of these teams will play us next yr, so there's a good chance you'll see Brady-Manning again.

problem solved

Poor Jax Jags???

Chakka Khan is going to take over as the true defintion of a "fan's owner" and lead them to the promised land.

Pretty soon every NFL team will be jealous of Chakka Khan and has infamous Jaguars.

Don't feel sorry for them

As I posted in another thread about Manning and his situation, my online betting service has the KC Chiefs as the betting favorites as to where Manning will end up.

Just for whatever that's worth, which isn't much...

A lot of us seemed to forget about the Chiefs for some reason.

apparently alot of people don't think kc, because it's not a domed, awesome weather stadium lol

Yeah, I wouldn't have thought KC either, to be honest with you.

I think they're basing that on the talks that they've had, cap situation + Crennel's comments about Manning last week.

I'm still not thinking KC, but it's really anyone's guess.

The warm weather or dome stadium theory certainly makes more sense, as opposed to the colder weather places where Manning has never done all that well. I don't know his numbers off hand, but he certainly has done much better in warm weather/dome atmospheres.

With a guy like Manning who already has plenty of money etc, one would think that money won't necessarily be the ultimate deciding factor--although I'm sure he'll want something competitive.

At this point in his career, I would guess that it's about solidifying his legacy and competiting for another SB to go out on top.

I would never have guessed KC would be the odds-on favorite, (edit: not anymore) and my guess is that it's like the odds-on favorite for the SB next yr. There are likely a bunch of teams that are right around the same odds, like GB, NO, NYG, NE etc...so to say that one team is a clear-cut fave is probably just wording.

No way he goes to the NYJ though, although I suppose stranger things have happened.

Apparently, the odds have changed accordingly due to increased action.

MIA is now the favorite at +300.

ARZ is now second at +330.

So the "warm weather theory" is back in full effect

3rd place is WSH at +350.

4th place is now KC at +400.

Your Jets theory is pulling in at a tie for 6th place with HOU at +650.

SEA is now +800.

Since all of this is bullsh!t to some extent, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

I imagine it would be something to keep an eye on though, as breaking news comes out and more people place bets, the odds will of course change.
