I'd have to go back and check it, but I am pretty sure I said "might". Intentionally. As in, "might" or "might not". Naturally, my hope is "might not".
BTW, but I do love your ad hominem reference. Were you ever on a debate team? I ask because that is where I learned about the concept of the ad hominem argument, position and attack.

No, I just like to think of myself as well read. I don't care for debating, I just can't deal with the flood of negativity that always ensues from these preseason games. It's just unwarranted. Evaluating team performance in them is a futile effort, because you're not seeing your best against their best, except maybe for a short stretch of the 3rd game. I prefer to evaluate individuals during these games on specific skills, because it's easier to do and usually a better predictor of future results. I watched Mayo almost exclusively tonight, and really liked what I saw. He knows where to be, he's instinctive, he can deliver a hit, and he has serious range. He has a little trouble stacking and shedding against bigger players, but that will come I think when his technique improves. I wish there was more talk about those sort of evaluations and less sky is falling nonsense during this part of the season, is all.
The defense went south today because we are playing a sift zone defense.
As long as Mayo is on the field, the run defense will suffer until he learns how to get off a block.
At this point I would not mind seeing Woods start on the outside and Thomas start next to Bruschi.
My god, we can't stop Brian Grise or Luke McCown?
It might be a looonnng season folks!
Pre season is meaningless.
I hate preseason....nothing good can come out of it, only bad things happen, like injuries or doom and gloom posters.

While I agree with you that the games are meaningless, I would bet any amount of dollars that some of the hypocrites in here would be SERIOUSLY talking Super Bowl if the team beat TB 35-7 tonight and if the Patriots win a preseason game it means something,If they lose its meaningless - You know its true on some of these flip floppers in here.

As one of the more vocal "it is only preseason" voices, I know I have always said preseason games are meaningless. But I can only speak for myself.
I think there is a fair amount of people on this board though who are pretty level headed during the preseason whether the Pats do well or crap the bed. There are obviously a segment who are hypocrites though.
