When did Brady, become Brady, and Bill become IBWT? Just an open discussion to see where people stand.

I think the moment for me for both of them was after beating the Steelers in Pittsburgh in the AFCCG. Lighting up the #1 defense in the league after almost shutting out the #1 offense the week before. Hearing someone on the CBS broadcast ponder out loud if they were watching the best team ever. Might have been Boomer I can’t remember. That was awesome

I think Brady is a great QB, but he's more Lebron than Jordan. I'm sorry if that upsets you.
It doesn't upset me where you rank Brady. You hate him and desperately try to discredit his untouchable legacy. It is what it is.

Now you're being disingenuous. Tom Brady is the most clutch football player in the history of the NFL. Your position is not even debatable. It's laughable.

If we could just pit Mac10 and his anti Brady energy against Crawhammer with his anti BB energy I bet we could crash the internet.
I honestly thought one was a bizzaro version of the other.

One last thing regarding the 1983-1990 NYG... Bill Parcells was the head coach. The same head coach who won Super Bowls with different quarterbacks. Who turned around 4 different franchises. I know a lot of people here dislike Parcells because of how it ended in NE but he was a brilliant head coach.

Yeah it is. But that's not for this thread.

I know you don't even believe half the chit you post. Just stop. Go to the Brady forum, I will meet you there. Really I will.

Maybe @GreenCow has a take on this but I would say the 1990 Bills (the team that played the Giants) was the best team out of the 4 and definitely the most well balanced so that puts into perspective how well the Giants defense did to slow them down. They were the only team out of the 4 to lead the league in scoring. They scored 44 points in the divisional round and 51 in the AFC Championship game. Total domination. They aren't far behind the 07 Patriots for best teams of all time that didn't win a SB. The team that lost to the Redskins was also great but the Redskins were one of the best teams of all time.

The 3rd and 4th Bills SB teams weren't nearly as good as the first two were IMO. They didn't even win their division the next year. The Houston comeback game was a wild card game.

You’re right. 1990 was the best of the Bills Super Bowl teams and were favored to win that Super Bowl if I remember correctly. They had a point differential of +165 which was a franchise record until last year.

And any QB's reaction including you if you were there would have been identical.

Cleveland Bill also publicly belittled Marv Levy. Based on those comments I wonder what Cleveland Bill would say about Bill and Matt's offense today.

They were and rightfully so. Ran right through the conference.

If you guys are on top for a while please don't find another Bruce Smith for your defense lol. The original was a nightmare for us back then!

It doesn't upset me where you rank Belichick. You hate him and desperately try to discredit his untouchable legacy. It is what it is.
Fixed it for you ... and weird. It's like I see a parallel here ...

Brady became “Brady” to most after the 2nd Super Bowl win as he, Bill and the Pats needed to show they weren’t a fluke-Cinderella-feel good story which they were in 2001. By 2005 after their 3rd Super Bowl win, they went from the feel good team to the most hated team in the NFL.

Bill in his early days with Brady could do no wrong and that’s how the IBWT started with fans. Bill was on a hot streak with drafts, game plans and in game adjustments. Both he and Tom were already being talked about as GOAT’s after they won 3 out 4 years together.
To add to your great points, people can also look at the staff Bill had during that era, crennel, Weis, even mangini. Bill had it all. The QB, the staff, the players who were coaches on the field. All of those factors played integral parts in is winning in the early 2Ks.

So Belichick's game plan in one game destroyed the k-gun offense completely? Bullsh*t!

1990 Buffalo Offense
1st P/G
6th Y/G

1991 Buffalo Offense
2nd P/G
1st Y/G

1992 Buffalo Offense
3rd P/G
2nd Y/G

1993 Buffalo Offense
7th P/G
6th Y/G

Must have had a delayed effect? Is that what you're saying? Because the k-gun was just as good or better in 1991 and 1992. It wasn't bad in 1993 either. You're wrong.
Dont give me ranks. You are hiding behind those "ranks" because you think they make your case don't'... The Bills scored 428 points in 1990 ... and in the AFCCG, they obliterated the raiders 51-3 and in the division they put up 44 points on the dolphins...

your arguments are kinda full of

Are you banned from the Brady forum?? That's rich.

Skip and Shannon did an online poll yesterday as to who is the most clutch QB in the NFL...Mahomes was leading Brady with over 70K people voting.

Link or I am calling bullchit.

For Brady...that's a tough one. I would say the first away game in 2001 against Buffalo where he got his helmet knocked off and got right back up and they ended up winning in OT. He showed me he was a tough, gritty kid on top of being smart with the football and getting things done. That was probably the moment where I really started feeling like, "yeah ... Drew is done here." And I was a HUGE Bledsoe guy
I've admitted the same here, big Bledsoe guy. Thought Tom was a c*cky little punk. Then we win the SB. I was happy to be wrong.

In my defense, back then I was like a drunken sailor w/ his nose into the yeyo.
