As fun as this thread is, I feel the need to throw a little cold water on all the Mahomes hate. What the guy accomplished his first 40 or so games is amazing, regardless of the talent he had around him or breaks he got. And he had plenty of both. But you don't get a streak like that unless you playing amazing ball. Brady to have so few bad games during such a long stretch is something maybe even Brady hasn't matched.
He makes plays literally no one else can make, and it isn't just because of luck or the guys around him. He's just a different animal. Anyone who looks at him play knows, health withstanding he will go down in the top 5 all time QB. In that highest of the top tier greats. His bad play this season is being overstated by fans overly eager to see a slightly over hyped player get dirt on his face. Frankly, outside of 4-5 REALLY bad plays he's still the same QB he was last year for the most part. This streak won't last, and soon he'll start making those jaw dropping no look passes again and the Mahomes fans will crow about it, as they rightly should.
But at least they will come to accept the fact that Mahomes is indeed mortal and not some otherworldly cheat code. That he doesn't levitate about the rest of the elite crowd like they are JV players. And that perhaps many of the amazing plays he makes are not devoid of some luck, It doesn't mean skill is not involved, but it isn't like it's all skill either. Mahomes has been a gunslinger all his playing career. That won't change. It never does for guys like him or Favre and others. If you take that away from them you also take away a key peice of what makes them the elite player they are. You need to live with the good and the bad. There will be variance so sometimes it will look unstoppable and sometimes you will shake your head as it all falls apart. But on the whole those plays have worked way more than not for a reason.
