We're onto Buffalo....

Whose the Bills main offensive threat other than Allen's scrambling?

No one said that Gronk was "fine" on Tuesday. That not what "full participation" means. When a player fully participates, he is not on that day's injury list.

With Gronk getting added and removed from the injury reports I wonder if the days he is on the list indicates when he is getting extensive treatment for something and misses some reps in practice because of that.

I mean how can he be fine on Tuesday, be on the report a bit later and then off the report on Friday.

Roberts doesn't deserve to be even a #4 LB here; and because he doesn't play STs he's less than useless as a #5/6 too.

Roberts has actually been plying some ST this season - 1 or 2 of the 4 units most games, anyway. More than Hightower.

Zay Jones as well..
The Pats really need to play the run in this game and force Allen to beat them with his arm. I honestly believe that Gilmore and Jackson should be able to shut down the Bills WRs..
How good/bad has Allen been? Haven't really kept up with other teams

Allen is a poor passer at this stage. He's completing like 52% of his passes. He's been relying on his legs. He put up 135 against Miami and 101 against the Jets. He only completed 50% of his passes during the last 2 games.

If they can stop the run and hold Allen in the pocket, the Bills will be hard-pressed to win.

PASSING (last 4 games since the BYE):
..... 57/114 (50%) .. 801 yds (7.03/att) .. 4 TD .. 4 INT .. 6 sacks

Foster has been his best tgt (past four games):
..... 14/19 (74%) .. 333 yds (23.8 ypc) .. 2 TD

Without Foster, Allen stats:
..... 43/95 (45%) .. 468 yds (4.93/att) .. 2 TD
..... Foster is very fast and elusive; gets a lot of YAC.

RUSHING (last 4 games):
40/341 yds (8.53 ypa), 3 TDs
..... games of 99 yds, 135 yds, 101 yds, 16 yds (v. DET last week)
..... Allen is the Bills' leading rusher

The defensive game plan seems simple enough:
- defend the run (Allen, McCoy, Ivory)
- erase Foster
- don't allow Zay Jones or LeSean McCoy easy catches or YAC

The Pats' ability to execute that plan is questionable. OTOH, the Bills' offense is 31st in the league in giveaways.

The Bills defense has been very good against the pass, middling against the run, very good preventing 3rd-down conversions, awful in the red zone. The Bills' LBs and safeties are ballhawks, and their DL guys knock down a lot of passes at the LoS.

It will be interesting to see how this D-line plays against their running back Josh Allen. Lol.

Despite giving up nearly 8 YPC over the last few games, that has been at least partly because they've been in dime defending the pass. Wouldn't expect much of that Sunday unless they open up a huge lead. I'm more concerned about rediscovering our offense, especially finishing in the red zone.

Too many fans listen to these paid shills for the NFL and believe everything they're told. For example, LaNotclassyton just gushed like 13 year old Beatlemania fan about the "tremendous 6 points!" put up in the first half by "the wonderboy". The Ravens had a 3 to 1 advantage in possession...put up 6 points. HUH? Now Brady" "uh,noam sain, Brady BAD ,noam sain? Noam searyus, he bad...Brady no good and you know ME, I'm classy...I tells muh peepoo all da time ..Brady BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD"

I cannot wait for tomorrow's game...I just PRAY that horseface jacklazz mouth Sharpe is there flappin' his extensive gums pre-game

Team "mottos" of past Pats' seasons:

"No Days Off"
"Do Your Job"
"Not Done Yet"

For the rest of this season, I'd like the team motto to be:

"F**k Off, ***holes!"

For those of you who may not be able to see it, this is RapSheit reporting that Chris Ivory (shoulder) is not expected to play today against the Pats.

It seems to me that, considering how much Roberts has been contributing this season so far, he'd be worth keeping as the #4 LB in 2019, especially considering that his cap hit will be only $745k.

As I said above I am comfortable with Roberts being the backup LB (#4) playing about 20% of snaps. He is cheap, knows the schemes and would be fine in this role if no rookie / cheap FA acquisition pushes him off the roster.
