Dear Cam,

Welcome to "Beantown". This is home to many past sports heroes like Bill Russell, Fred Lynn, Mo Vaughn, Paul Pierce, and Troy Brown.

First, let me apologize for many of the negative things that have transpired in the past with great men like Adam Jones, and Torii Hunter. I speak on behalf of white people in Patriots Nation in personally apologizing for being a part of the great problem, and we will all strive to do better at being the change we wish to see in the world.

I hope that you will find your stay with the New England Patriots to be pleasant, and most importantly, know that we root for our players through thick and thin. Whether or not you score touchdowns or win games, know that you are appreciated.

Patriots Nation is as diverse as it gets; we have fans all over the world in various countries like Africa, Nigeria, and the great People's Republic of Cuba.

For now, though, it's time to dance!!! I am greatly looking forward to doing the endzone wiggle when you score your first touchdown (if you do - if you don't, it's okay because you are always welcome in New England no matter what.)

The signings of Byrd, Thomas and even Riley make a little more sense with Cam. Not that they didn't before but if Cam is the QB we're pushing the ball down the field. Cam will accept pressure, inaccuracy for explosive plays. I mentioned it yesterday but I wouldn't be surprised to see us make another move but who knows.
I also suspect he averages less than 8 runs/designed runs a game. 5-8 times when the odds are in our favor at the right time. Red Zone, 3rd down, making it happen once and a while. He won't be a "running" QB.

I agree, but now thinking.. Did Belichick ever say Stid was our starter or did we just assume that?

I hope Cam pans out... If he can look healthy and play well, he could be a good pickup for the next 3-5 seasons.. I'm not very cap smart though so idk if it could work. This is also solely based on the outcome of the Cam experiment. If Cam gets us 10-11 wins and looks good and gets us at least past the WC, how do you resist offering him a deal for 2021?
