It’s Fantasy Football playoffs in a highly trash talking work environment. I have a problem though.

My two QBs are Allen and Maye. Maye was my homer pick during the draft and well……here we are.

Of course I want the Pats to win, BUT who to start for points? Thoughts, input, sarcastic feedback welcome.

I'm gonna give you a bunch of wishy washy advice hemming and hawing between the two. Also keep in mind I haven't played fantasy since deflategate broke because I am pissed at the NFL. This is a tough decision because both have been great. I think Allen has the better run game and doesn't need to throw as much so you are more likely to score less points if the Bills win because cooks has a big day. On the other hand if the Bills are losing I could see them going full hero ball and Allen putting up monster yards.

The most impressive thing about Drake has been his consistency. Pretty much week in and week out you can count on him going 20/25 for 250 yards and 2 TDs with another 30-50 on the ground. Not a single handedly won the week for me performance just good steady reliable points.

So to finalize I would say how big are your balls? Do you want the reliable middle ground of Drake? Or the boom or bust of Allen? Nice thing is I don't see a wrong answer

Maye (no bias). Granted we actually cover Kincaid this time & don't let Shakir eat up YAC, Allen should be somewhat limited (relatively speaking). He didn’t go crazy on us in the first matchup (22/31 253 yds 2 TDs; 53 rushing yards). 108 of those yards were to Kincaid. While Maye didn’t throw any TDs in the first meeting, I feel he’ll be better equipped this time around. Henderson & Kyle didn’t play much if at all in the first meeting. Maye will have all of his weapons & will have seen the tape of their scheme. Allen won’t have the same success he had last week vs CIN; and he damn sure won’t have a 40 yard rushing TD. Also, Maye is projected to outscore Allen this week anyway. With all this being said, Allen could very well explode simply because he’s great. Just my opinion..

I’ve got a different FF question, or two. The analysis might be somewhat germane to this question.

Big question is, I have to decide which defense to start. I have Patriots and Texans. I think the answer is obvious but would like to know how the Patriots defense can realistically be expected to perform against the Bills? In particular, any chance of interceptions or sacks? Will Allen be held in check by the Pats?

The other possible question is at QB, I have Maye and Trevor Lawrence. I’m planning to play Maye, as he has a much better rating this week, but the Jags are playing the Jets so I’m a little surprised Lawrence is not getting more love. Will Buffalo defend 5he Pats effectively so I’ll regret not betting against the Jets?

Texans defense, I have them and they have been solid. Maye over Lawrence, I don’t trust Lawrence….or the Jags.

It's not just which defense is better it's about match ups and who they are playing. I find it far more likely that Cooks, Allen, and Kancaid have big days and don't turn the ball over much then *checks notes* whoever is starting for the Cardinals. I would 100% start the Texans defense.

Buffalo secondary is just as bad as the Jete. Maye has been matchup proof and gives you very solid numbers week in and week out. Unlike Allen I don't see the potential of Lawrence booming as more valuable then Maye's average numbers.

Texans defense easily. The only way (most likely) the Pats’ D out does Houston’s is if we get some ST scores. As for Maye vs Lawrence; that should be a fairly easy decision…

There’s one league where I have Maye, Burrow, Lamar & Stafford on the same team…..

How the hell did that happen??
I originally drafted Jackson & then took Maye as a backup. Stafford was available as a FA because he was coming off of an injury. Burrow was available on waivers because he was out most of the season, so I scooped him up knowing he’d kill with all those weapons Cincinnati has & they’d be desperate to try to pile on points trying to catch up to win their division with a **** defense. Has to be the best FF QB lineup of all time lol. 4 MVP caliber QBs..

Maye have Better Wide Receivers than Allen: TE's might be a wash: Maye and H Henry have serious chemistry. I hope you see where I'm going with this.

Kincaid is the Danger but he gets injured easily...Bills Fans cringe whenever he gets Tackled. Yeah Kincaid is very good but he's very fragile: I like our chances.

Hedge strategy, start Allen.

Allen could be putting it in the hands of his run game..? Up in the air if he's gonna be passing a lot.
