There's a difference between saying what you believe and saying what you believe in front of a camera playing off of other actors in a way that comes across as real. That's not as easy as it looks, no matter how passionate one is about the subject matter.

Acting is something that young kids learn to do in drama classes all over the USA. Most of the decent actors can be interchanged in their roles and not miss a beat. The real talent in Hollyweird comes from the writers.

for some strange reason i get a lot of matt damon vibe in his acting. brady has to be the most improved actor in my life time because he was truly awful in his early days.

I really have to disagree with you. A good friend of mine runs the youth program at what is one of the two or three most highly regarded acting schools in NYC.

Much longer discussion for another place, but it's harder than you're letting on. Many people can be coached and coached but just don't have the ability to communicate emotion in a genuine manner or even get beyond sounding "wooden."

Among those who can communicate emotion or even just get beyond sounding robotic, there is a wide range of skill at doing so. In the end, as Sanford Meisner put it, "in most professions, every practitioner uses the same tools and facilities, while the actor's chief instrument is himself." Among those coached by Meisner were Gregory Peck, Tony Randall and David Mamet, who wasn't a bad writer either . (Forgive the implied sexism of his language, as he said that in the 1930's).

Like you, I truly admire the work of writers for stage and screen (large and small), but again we probably disagree; without a strong director, their words never "communicate" beyond the page.

Yeah, a few of his commercials set him up for failure, imo. The recent mattress commercial is uncomfortable. Walking through the damn chamber of secrets to a mattress in a locked room? Dumb.

He was awesome in this one, though.

Is it scheme or personnel? Because I think the mattress commercial was a good pick but, Brady didn't make the play needed to make it work.

Wtf are you even talking about? Considering the BS that he's gone through, he's kept quiet as a mouse.

If I were him (*disclaimer: i'm spiteful to people that have wronged me), I would have opened my mouth a lot more than he has to defend myself. Overall, he lets his character and actions speak for themselves.

What social posting? The facebook post that he made public rightfully claiming his innocence in Defamegate? For Christ's sake he made a point to saying he "respects" the commissioner and his responsibility in upholding the "integrity" of the league but made a completely reasonable point that there was no evidence that he nor anybody else had anything to do with carrying out the BS conspiracy.
