Short of the line of scrimmage is still intentional grounding I think
@footballzebras answered my question: I was right, but for the wrong reason. There is no intentional grounding in the endzone, but that's only because it would already be a safety if the QB threw an uncatchable ball in the act of evading pressure (he doesn't even have to be touched). Stafford was not in the EZ when he was sacked, so if he had thrown an uncatchable ball, it would have been IG so you are also correct.
