Week 9 Monday Night Football: Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

Yeah the Colts are really kicking themselves. They'll have had one of the top QBs in the league over a timeframe that will span 3-4 decades.

They ran into the best QB prospect of the decade and luckily he still came out. They still enjoyed a 2-14 epic Fail season atleast.

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

I really surprised that the Packers don't have a backup QB that knows their system really well yet.

They had Flynn for a number of years, and they haven’t really replaced him. Flynn coincidentally was released today so if Rodgers is going to miss any time I would not be surprised to see them sign Flynn, actually I wouldn’t be surprised if they signed him either way.

How does Flynn manage to keep getting signed all of these times?

The guy looked like the worse QB I've ever seen this year for Oakland and I'm not even exaggerating. Even Seneca Wallace looks better than Flynn.

If I was GB I'd be looking elsewhere for help.

Because his game against the New England Patriots junior varsity squad 2 years ago makes a great promo tape.

He had some good performances in GB so I think they'd be a good fit for him.

I think it was more the 480 yard 6 touchdown against Detroit in 2011 that helps his cause.

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

Wonder if Matt Flynn will be getting a call if Rodgers has to miss any games.

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

Why? (Other than being mindful of good sportsmanship, of course.)

Because the Packers are fun to watch when Rodgers plays. I like watching good quarterbacks.

Everyone has a few good games. Just look at Mark "Buttfumble" Sanchez.

In case it wasn't clear, that question was rhetorical.

I agree 480 yards and 5 touchdowns would take Sanchez a few games at least

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

Nice piece of running by Lacy.

Terrible run D by the Bears especially with an eight man box.

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

OROY race after the midway point:

-Eddie Lacy
-Giovani Bernard
-Zac Stacy
-Keenan Allen
-Aaron Dobson
-Terrance Williams
-Jordan Reed

Who pulls away?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Dobson!

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

The Bears seriously need to cut number 47 on defense...

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

That should have been another INT by Wallace.

If Rodgers is out Lacey will come back to earth real fast, the defenses will just stack the box.

Re: Monday Night Football- Green Bay vs. Chicago

I hope the Bears can win this thing. I'm tired of the Rodgers/Packers hype wagon.

The most impressive of this group has been Keenan Allen. He's been pretty money so far.

But, any one of those guys could run away with the OROY award in the second half.

I hope it's Dobson, because if he does that would mean he's continued to develop as a significant threat in the Patriots offense.
