Interesting tid bit from Reilly's NFL profile page: "As a 16-year-old, he set a Guinness world record by eating a raw onion in one minute, 35 seconds (beating the old record by 65 seconds)."

I'm not sure how that's going to help, but it can't hurt.

I'm not sure how that's going to help, but it can't hurt.

Right before he goes on the field, just go house on a whole onion, then breathe heavily into the face of the O-Lineman across from him. That way when he bull rushes him the guy just goes, "Urrrrgh" and let's him run past.

Presumably Reilly is replacing Langi's special teams role, while Harris will be taking on Hightower's snaps.

The Chargers are averaging 3.5 ypc and 79 rushing yards per game. Perhaps the Patriots are willing to risk going with a smaller front (more Butler and Flowers inside) in this game to help make up for Hightower's pass rush?

Will also be a good gauge to see if Branch has really bounced back.

Langi had no ST role unfortunately (just week 2 . the only week active).
Grissom and M.Flowers were core STers . first was inactive vs ATL second just saw 4 snaps despite being one of the top ST guys earlier.

And lack of DTs is not only about Branch stepping up but about loss of rotation that enables competent DL effort for 60 min. A.Butler will be the next man up I guess like in preseason..

So many head scratching roster things right now..

That little bit of uncertainty with HT and his visit with Andrews gets hopefully resolved either way before the deadline to make roster moves for this week.

Could move to more 4 man fronts and if Brown is out for several weeks then Blackson could make sense. Also expect Valentine back after the break. Would give a few big bodies inside, in which case Brown's return would make 4 jumbo tackles. Still only Branch right now.

We have been playing an extremely high % of 4 man fronts. We started to abandon the 3 man after KC ate it alive, then after Carolina and Tampa beat it up it seems only reserved for 3rd and long. (And not even that with HT out probably)
