Week 5 Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Colts

apologies for bringing this up in case it was already mentioned in this thread. The announcers said that the second INT was changed to a catch and fumble by Gronk. Yet I looked in the boxscore and see that it is counting as a Brady INT. Did they reverse the reversal?

The funny thing is, I thought Brady had a bad night overall. I am a huge Brady backer, and though he received some criticism over the last 2 weeks (even after the Miami victory) I thought he was mostly ON the last 2 games, pretty accurate. Tonight I thought he was off all game for some reason.
All game is a little much, he was 12 for 13 to start, had a bad series or two and was back to TB.

Yeah, most of those were just DMac picking his poison and then Ebron's athleticism going to work. He could have guessed better I guess but it's hard to fault him too much.

I honestly dont know. I hope someone who understands all of this better can break down what DMac should have done on both TDs he gave up. Because to my eyes he was beat on both already before the snap.

On the first Ebron TD he had inside leverage and the TE broke outside.

And the Swoope TD looked like he was too deep.

Either way in both instances I am not sure "his speed" was an issue.

Only as Pats fans do we hate a 14 point win

Hopefully the Dolts get some players back and steal a game from the Jags later in the year.

The Colts are bad with a full roster. The team they put out there tonight was simply awful at nearly every position but QB, and they moved the ball at will in the 2nd half. McCourty is a bad football player at this point in his career, and they need to get him off the field.

For who? I'd give him a few more weeks and see if his play remains poor. Once the offseason comes an decision may need to be made on DMac.

Another good win. 3-1 in the AFC now. It’s all about racking up those Conference wins.

With that being said, D-Mac is the weak link in the secondary. I noticed this last season and teams are starting to take notice. If you get him isolated, you can expose him. He’s too small to take on TE’s.

Pass rush really stinks.

Need to take better care of the ball. 2nd time this season Gronk catches and fumbles. Luckily, there were no casualties.

Hogan continues his awful year.

Another strong game from Michel. Him and Hill would’ve been awesome.

Need to get Gordon more involved.

For all the talk about McCourty, he is the same as always. For many years now he has shown the inability to cover big guys. Consistently boxed out. First noticed it a few years back when Charles Clay worked him over. I'm still a fan but he just isn't a playmaker anymore.

The Texans have better defensive personnel than the Patriots and the Colts stuck up 34 points on them, the Colts typically move the football when Andrew Luck is healthy.

I think it's been a wait and see what it looks like after the KC game.

Peytie Manning was a scumbag sexual assault artist that padded his stats and had his phony career directly buttressed by Bill Polian's influence on the rules committee(4 years in a row(rules changed to benefit HIS HGH forehead QB). Not ONE resident of Indy will admit this...admit what is FACT. Screw any opinion that emanates from the land of egregious azzoles such as Blob Kravitz and the uber repugnant Gregg Doyel..and to further illuminate the disgustng STENCH that is Indianapolis, there's the over the top racist comments of Bob Lamey, Indy Colts radio announcer..

THE face of disgusting Indianapolis racism....

Booze and drugs, maybe

That dude Roberts is a baller too, physical guy that makes the tough catches. The colts have a good Offense with luck

Trent Brown missing a block that could have gotten Brady killed, the Edelman drop, the Hogan tip-INT, the Gronk tip-INT and Dorsett getting dinged were about the only "must fix" negatives for the offense (forgot to add that Brady did miss an open 3rd down pass). That's a significant improvement, especially given that the team is still integrating Gordon and had to add integrating Edelman, coming off a short week.

Yeah, just no way I can get behind this. He was two crappy plays away by our receivers from having 5 tds and 0 Ints. He was decisive and sharp. A couple off throws for sure though.

Should have been his best game of the year, statistically.

Yeah but those two INTs? Brady is done, time to trade him for picks and rebuild around Danny Etling!

Look, we've seen how many of these Thursday Night games? They are ALWAYS a crapshoot, no matter which teams are playing. The MAIN objective is GET THE WIN, REST UP, MOVE ON. That the Patriots DID this while never trailing in this game is 100% fine with me.Everyone seems to forget that these players are human, and 4 quarters of football with just 4 days rest, is HARD on the body AND the MIND.The first half was no contest and this NO ONE can argue. The 2nd half had numerous instances of tiredness both mental and physical. A bad team LOSES a game like this. The Pats won it. This is a GOOD team that hopefully gets better.

Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett can return to their normal roles Thanks to Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman.

Interesting tweet. Hmm...

Nice win that would have been a 50-burger had the Pats not gotten some bad luck. That said, is it time to talk about McCourty? He has not looked right all season long and tonight was the cherry on top.

EDIT: By the way, I say this as someone who has traditionally been a staunch defender of his.

For the past few seasons every time a ball is thrown his way and he's on a tight end he looks like burnt toast. Maybe when he gets beat he gets beat bad?
