I didnt see that at all. Gotta point out a play.

And please don't use the TD at the end because HT was playing the run all the way. He didn't only have to turn his hips but his entire body was going downhill.
Not just from this game, but since game one when there was this disturbing play, I have been keeping an eye on him. Watch how he is favoring the right leg?

Some thoughts. Not super in depth.

The offense if healthy will be really good. Michel is being praised a bit too much IMO. He can't seem to do much without a pretty wide hole. That aside when he has a hole he can actually get some pretty good work done. Gordon looks about as good as I thought he would. Not 2013 but a guy who is good for 3 or so good catches a game. Gronk/Edelman combo is what really makes this offense work. When both are in it is hard to blitz Brady and not pay for it. This makes things a lot easier on the OL as well.

The defense is coming into form nicely. While there are problems at least the run defense has been sorted out it seems. Brown/Shelton/Butler/Guy and the DTs have done a good job on that recently. The LBs are still a group I wonder about. Mostly because Hightower has yet to look fully like his old self. Overall at least with the combo of Hightower/Van Noy they are serviceable. The DBs are an interesting group. Jason McCourty has really turned it around and is playing solid ball now. JJones is becoming one of our best defensive players. McCourty been asked to play up more lately and make plays as opposed to sitting back in center field and so far it has been a mixed bag. I worry about their ability to get pressure in key moments.

On STs it was meh. At the beginning of the year it was a total dumpster fire. At least now it seems to be making SOME strides but still has a ways to go.

Other random thoughts.

IR DTR - There are 3 players on here that are worth mentioning. Dawson/Bentley/Burkhead. If all 3 seem able to come back than who do you pick? Right now Dawson seems to be the least likely option due to JJones and Jackson/McCourty stepping up a bit at CB but who knows. They could use both RB and LB depth. Personally I go Bentley as I don't trust Burkhead to stay off the IR.

We saw today how much better this D plays with emotion. It is something they have lacked at times and I would very much like to see more of. They they get more emotional they attack and play up more and play better. We need to fix the right mix of sound scheme and aggressive play. Playing on the back foot hurt the Pats in the SB.

Thursday night games are freaky but this was especially so. Overall we managed to escape with no major injuries that will be long lasting and got a couple sloppy freak plays out of the way.

KC is a game the Patriots need to win if the want to stay competitive for the first seed. At worst KC comes in here 4-1. If we leave that game 3-3 and they leave it 5-1 with the tie breaker then the Pats may have to go through KC. It's true we got behind them last year and managed to get the first seed after the wheels came off for them. Those wheels won't be coming off this year with that QB. They will not finish below 12-4 if he stays healthy. Make no mistake. Next week is a huge game even this early in the year.

At the same time u had an interview with him and Perry where he said that for the first time in years he finally feels healthy early in the season.

No idea. He looked a lot better against Miami and nothing really happened today to indicate that he is trending down again. He looked bad on the TD but he sold all out against the run.

Something to look at when rewatching.

Blatant hold, grab. clutch on the Gordon re-route to the TD...not called. WHY? Watch the highlight on ESPN. Just because he scored doesn't excuse the blatant, disgusting lack of proper procedure by the official.

Please do, there was this other case in this game where the Colts run on the left, he sold out but trying to change direction, he pivoted on the right leg and he started to limp. After that point, he went on the sideline for a while.

Well I think the pass overage was average at best, many times receivers and Ebron were wide open. Cant do that agains KC, I was at the Denver game on monday nite, Mahomes is really difficult to get to.....even Von couldn’t get him...KC’s defense is not what it used to be they left a lot of guys wide open themselves in that game. The only reason denver doesnt win is because of a bad pass.

Im not convinced the Pats defense is very good......they certainly will have to be in 10 days...sure hope they can prove me wrong.

I do know Thursday games are wierd so Im hoping in the second half the defense jsut got a little weird...same for 3rd qtr offense. Hoping anyway.

apologies for bringing this up in case it was already mentioned in this thread. The announcers said that the second INT was changed to a catch and fumble by Gronk. Yet I looked in the boxscore and see that it is counting as a Brady INT. Did they reverse the reversal?

The funny thing is, I thought Brady had a bad night overall. I am a huge Brady backer, and though he received some criticism over the last 2 weeks (even after the Miami victory) I thought he was mostly ON the last 2 games, pretty accurate. Tonight I thought he was off all game for some reason.

Interesting. Didn't notice any limping on the live watch. Thought they just kept him out in early garbage times.

They did reverse the reversal, and Buck mentioned it at one point. I think it's the right call. If the defender didn't catch it midair and grabbed it on the ground instead, would they have ruled it a catch and a fumble? I don't think so, I think they would have said incomplete. In which case that means the actual play was an interception.

Brady looked unstoppable in the first half. Then slowed down a bit in the second half with the rest of the offense.

I thought he had his best game of the year.

I honestly think the way this game played out help the Pats v KC. This was looking like a 50-10 game until the Pats started to screw up.

The Pats won comfortably but the players will remember the sloppy plays, the dropped balls, the tipped up interceptions, the dropped interceptions, ect...

I'm a believer in motivation and that coming off a game where you kick the crap out of another team and play damn near perfect lulls you into a false sense of security. I think those bad plays will give the Pats an edge vs KC.

Hogan was wide open on the Gordon TD. I wonder why Brady didn't throw it to Hogan.

Not sure I agree. Indy tried to attack Gilmore and JMac without much success. JJones allowed a few catches but was often in good position.

DMac vs. TEs looked bad a few times. But I didn't think it was about speed but more about bad positioning/technique.

I mean they will complete passes on you in the NFL of 2018.

Yeah, most of those were just DMac picking his poison and then Ebron's athleticism going to work. He could have guessed better I guess but it's hard to fault him too much.

Will keep it posted if interested. They just rolled in a few waters and personal pizzas lol.. people are P*SSED. Personally I’m a night owl so I’m fine driving later, but this is so amateur right now. It feels like a god damn high school banquet the night before a game
As a former STH this is interesting....anyways if they're concerned about everyone leaving at once and traffic, they (the towns surrounding and the Pats) REALLY need to work on letting people get off route 1 N....we used to get off at the left by papa ginos and McDs....no more, sit in traffic for over an hour until you get to 95....
