FWIW, it's based on winning percentages, not actual numbers.

Draft picks of play-off teams are also determined by when you lost in the play-offs. For Instance, the Loser of the SB is pick #31. It doesn't matter if they were 9-7 or 16-0. If you lost in either of the Conference Championship games, your picks 29 & 30. If you lost in the Divisional you're picks 25-28.

It also has direct ramifications on draft picks and rookie salary allocation. The two teams on the bye won't pick higher than 23. And that can make a difference if the picks have been traded to other teams. If Buffalo get's knocked out early, should they get a higher seeded pick because their record has 1 fewer game in it?

Commotio just means sudden jarring and Cordis means from the heart, so it's a sudden jarring of the heart at exactly the right spot at the right time. Wonder if a different shoulder pad with an attached chest protector would help.

NFL will do anything for a quick cash grab. No doubt it.

This is a very tragic situation and really puts things into perspective.

What this could mean is instead of handing down a directive, the league office deferred to the two head coaches on what they wanted. That seems appropriate.
