NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Week 15 Other NFL Games Thread

Incredible that New Orleans won and kept at zero Tampa...
I have not at all understood Harbaugh decision to go for 2...good for us...
Huge win for Cincy...

Chargers’ HC Brandon Staley announced that DE Joey Bosa, who is being placed on Reserve/COVID, is out for Sunday’s game. OL Corey Linsley and RB Austin Ekler are day to day on the same list.

Sucks for him and the Bucs.

Expect to see TB12 giving lots of dirty looks to Scotty Miller for the rest of the season.

That is Godwin. The Saints were hitting like that all game long. That is one dirty team.

The Saints are an incredible collection of talent that shows up and play together well during full moons.

Thanks for the correction. Unfortunately, I read it too late to edit...

Goff on COVID list

Goff on COVID list

Goff has them playing too well. Can’t afford to win any more games and miss out on local boy Hutchinson.

Hard for me to say that's a dirty hit. He's low, but not LOW. The contact initiates just above the knee, not at/below it. If Godwin's foot doesn't get stuck in the ground that comes away looking like a clean, solid hit, and a routine play.

Ideally every hit occurs between the hips and shoulders but ideal situations are tough to come by. From a long-term health perspective, preserving the brain is absolutely the best decision. From a short-term/career earnings perspective, protecting the knees/ankles is of more importance.

A truly dirty hit is someone launching themselves head-first repeatedly (see Sendejo), or deliberately lunging at ankles/knees, or coming in extremely late. That was a questionable hit, but I'm not sure if it was black-and-white dirty.

Mullens is a decent player. Steady. Unspectacular, but I can’t imagine many teams have a better #3…

Saints players talk a lot of crap for a team that’s won only as many NFC Championships in 12 years as Brady and the Bucs have won in 1.

lol no team has choked in the playoffs as badly for 11 years as the Saints

Carr on the other hand...
Terrible throw. But a really dumb play call. You dont take big shots in that situation. Move the chains eat clock and win it with a fg. Or if they dont stop you kerp going for the td. But that was a stupid call

Defense bailed out Carr giving him ball back with 2:00 on the 30. Carr redeemed himself and played smart after that.

Big 'thank you' to LV for that one. Gives up more wiggle-room to get into the postseason.

(Hopefully the Pats wins out and we don't have to worry about the outcome of other games).

Bosa really screwed over his team by not being vaccinated. He is their best player and he will miss a big game while they are fighting for a playoff spot.
