At least we have the corpse of Tedy Bruschi pretending he can still play. If they don't bring him back, it's a downright stupid move. There is no one out there to replace him.

There isn't? Wow. I guess even if we re-sign him it's only a matter of time before he is to old to play and according to you we're doomed because no one can replace him? What crap.

Long-time fans (over three years) will remember we won a superbowl before we got him and another after we got him but with him on IR.

Chill out EVERYONE is replaceable. EVERYONE. No team disbands when ANY player leaves. They get new players and move on.

He is the cornerbacks coach, not the defensive coordinator. Why would Pees be changing how we play because of his arrival?

Most of the news stories of Capers' hiring mentioned his tasks would be "intertwined" with those of Pees. I imagine he was brought on board because he has extensive experience with not-having-quite-as-many-vet-linebackers-as-you'd-like to run the 3-4 all the time, i.e. running a hybrid 3-4 system.

You really think they brought him in just because Dom was a great secondary coach back in '91?

I kinda figured there was a good chance he could get cut. He was getting paid far too much for a player of his value. I think there is a decent chance he could be resigned, but they might go after a free agent out there like a Calvin Pace or even try to pry Terrell Suggs away from the Ravens. Otherwise, expect them to draft Gholston if he is available.
