These scumbags aren't trying to target specific markets, Deb, they're trying to establish THEIR own narratives and insinuate them into our daily lives.

I guess it's good then that I am stuck in the 70's and usually just listen to Sirius XM radio or my iPod. The only time I listen to sports radio now is when its football season (or if I am listening to a Bruins game) and if they are talking about someone else, I go back to my 70's music.

I know that EEI is carried all over New England, whereas I don't hear ANY of 98.5 (other than Pats games) outside of Metro Boston.

None of the above will happen. It's unfortunate. This is a perfect time to overhaul the Boston media and get some more central personalities that have correct views.

Minihane isn't going anywhere. He is the key part of the top rated morning show. I don't mind him, actually. I can't stand T and R. Keefe is my least favorite. I turn him off right away. What a miserable puke.

So Holley has "inside" access to the Patriots. So what?? He doesn't break any news because of that access. He's not a must listen because of his knowledge. He kisses Patriot arse so he can write books. Problem for Holley is he has no hot takes on the Red Sox, Bruins or Celtics either. He's boring yet annoying vanilla ice cream.

I am not a "hot take" kind of guy, I prefer intelligent discussion from someone who understands the context of the Patriots organization and how they operate.. Holley is also has a pretty good understanding the Celtics/NBA which I enjoy as well.. Dale Arnold has a very good understanding of the hockey world so they compliment each other. Red Sox meh..

This whole "hot take" ******** is a product of an "short attention span society"..

nevermind that WBRU is consistently voted one of the top stations in the country by Rolling Stone, and was easily the top and one of the most influential alternative music stations.

I started listening to WBRU during the student strikes of the late 60's, and it always was my rescue station up to when they went off the air.. do not see a Christian Rock station being very successful around here, but probably wrong..

I think back at music that might be considered obscure that I had the opportunity to listen to and really liked.. with the recent plunge into divisive sports politics by the sports mediots it was a welcome diversion.. now I have Pandora, not the same, but still a refuge from the noise.

It’s funny, I have both Pandora n Spotify apps on my phone n really never use them. My daughter streams all the time audio n video. She says “streaming is a generational thing”!!
