I think Cincinnati is considering himIs Dalton Risner still available? I would like the vet to be LG to help the rookies Campbell and Wilson.
Campbell-Risner-Wilson-Onwenu -Moses.
Nice ring to it.
I think Lowe will stickThe clarity we found on OL is that Strange is seriously on the bubble. And Sow & Lowe will be cut.
11 is too much try 10.The major clarification is that Sow is out.
For now, the last choice is between Jacobs and Lowe.
Sow was given his chance and showed much less than Strange. The bad thing about Strange is that he is only an emergency backup at center (and not very good at center). IMO, Strange is dependable as a backup LG, the biggest question mark position on the OL.
OT: Campbell, Moses, Bryant, Lowe/Jacobs
OC: Bradbury, Brown
OG: Onwenu, Wilson, Wallace, Strange
Onwenu was at least competent, which said a lot given how poor his surrounding line was. Some would say 5.
I feel like we already have our upside player in Bryant. I think having capable tackles this year is critical.THE CASE FOR JACOBS OVER LOWE
Lowe is the better player, but we are talking about the #4 emergency backup OT.
If the team thinks that Jacobs has a significant upside, then Vrabel will choose Jacobs.
If the team thinks that Jacobs is better than Bryant and Lowe as a backup RT, then Vrabel will certainly choose Jacobs.
Onwenu. And if Grandpa Moses goes down to IR, and Onwenu moves out to RT since Bryant is too green, who exactly is the RG? Am I an idiot for not knowing?
Sidy Sow was a 4th rounderSo we have two LGs in first round Cole Strange and third round Sidy Sow.
Then we put in a rookie with only one year of college starting experience—at center—as the starter at LG.
And we’re going to roll out Ben Brown as our starter?
WTF are you doing, Doug Marrone?
Did anyone else notice how well the Giants second string OL played? Who’s their coach?
Onwenu is not moving to RT. Tried that, didn't work. And if Grandpa Moses goes down to IR, and Onwenu moves out to RT since Bryant is too green, who exactly is the RG? Am I an idiot for not knowing?
One can only hope!A lot of Oline players shouldn’t be buying any real estate or making plans past this week here.
I’m going with my previous prediction we see at least 3 new O line players brought in on the 53.
I agree with both. Keep it Dante simple for Wilson. Center is where he's played. On the other hand, I look at the Wilson situation differently. Optimally I'd like him to solve our Center problem. But for the short term, they have a need at LG.
