The New England Patriots traded defensive back, Justin Green, to the Dallas Cowboys for defensive end, Ben Bass.
Dallascowboys.com broke the news of the player-for-player swap Tuesday evening. Green was signed as an undrafted free agent by New England last summer. He was facing an uphill battle to make the team's 53-man roster this season.
Bass is a third-year defensive lineman out of Texas A&M. The 24-year-old is listed at 6'5, 294 and recorded one tackle in two games last year for Dallas. With the Patriots interior lineman banged up and Cowboys cornerback, Orlando Scandrick, suspended four games, the move makes sense for both sides.
