The point was never that we can suck, or go 0-16. The point was to sarcastically on some levels show that the Pats are pretty well setup for almost a bye to seed 2 before the season starts. And it is not ONLY because of how they great they are. Everything else I mention in the thread is part of it. They have had SEVEN byes in a row because of it. For SEVEN straight years it is been either the PATS or the AFCW/N winner that had the bye. So we are competing with Miami basically, and 2 other division winners, who have tougher battle inside their divisions. You add that to how dominant the Pats are and the seed 2 is a lock. It would not have to be, even with how good we are... imagine if the Colts had stayed in the AFCE? they would have won the division over us several times at least.

Well, your sarcasm appeared to be arrogance from post 1, and got worse from there - proclaiming to all who replied that it was "math and logic," when you assume winning a division to start off as a "term" of your "math." Some unspecified poor performance in the AFCS is another "term," etc.

If you'd gone in with, "there are some good tailwinds if the Pats get 12+ Wins" and talked about an increased likelihood of X, Y, and Z, you'd have had better luck. Still, even with 80% chances plugged in on 3 variables, you're at 50-50. Just for example. And claiming 80% certainty on 3 full 16-game seasons after 2 games is a bit silly.
