And you're goofy. The introduction of "Jete" was a significant moment in team history involving one of their own stars, a landmark gaffe on the national stage a la the buttfumble. But there is no campaign for exclusivity here, just due recognition of its significance. Jete, Jest or New Jersey Green Beans, all represent acknowledgement of abiding suckage.

Acknowledged, including acknowledgment that I'm goofy. You henceforth wear the crown of local Jete-coiner, as I said, I had no idea there was a guy to credit with it. I'm just saying it's one way to acknowledge JEST/JETE suckage.

C'mon man; using "chess v checkers" to describe Bill v the rest of the league is SO mid-2000s.

Wait... so you're saying chess/checkers is good until when, ~ 2050, or ~ 2500?

What I'm looking for is a sweep motion from left-to-right by Dorsett or Patterson while the Pats appear to set up a screen to White on the left. Then, Brady tosses one to a wide-open Dorsett/Patterson on a hitch-and-go to the right.

I actually like Dorsett better than Patterson for this since he's likely to get less attention.
yea since we've run that screen so much, it could work

Also get ready for the inevitable 20+ yard play action pass to Dorsett. There is substantial amount of tape of him being on the field for runs and blocking his ass off through the entire season. This has to be exploited at some point by McD/Brady.

Also, IIRC, only three or four of his 37 tgts have been deep posts or go routes. the rest of his tgts, and almost all of his receptions, have been passes to the flat, short curls in zone, and sideline comebacks in man. I have to think that, at some point, a double move is going to work for him.

Wondering how many lives Hollister has before his roster spot is put to better use with someone like Anderson just sitting there.

Hollister's hamstring has already cost him four games this season. If Anderson is a better blocker, it would make sense to promoted him and send Hollister to IR.

What a disappointing season. I said hed give them ~50 catches...sheesh

FWIW, OL Toby Weathersby was officially waived from the Pats PS on 12/24. Lasted 5 days.

Anyhoo, the Pats have an open spot on the PS.

Another FWIW ...

The Pats are favored by 13.5 to 14.5, with the "best" moneyline on the Pats at -730.

O/U at 44.5

Basically the same as last week.

Read the OP on the Jets Suck thread, it's in the itemized bullet points.
I just went and read those bullet points. Thanks for that. Thoroughly enjoyed!

We already have 2 "blocking" TEs.
If Mr Anderson is a better route-runner & pass-catcher than Jake the Fake, then he should be promoted and Hollister IRed.

So what? I'm pretty sure that Mr Anderson would fare just as well as Jake the Fake in the same role on STs.

ANDERSON, 6021/230, turns 26 in January:

2016 - 13 games/0 starts/129 O-snaps (10/gm)
..... missed wks 5, 6, & 7 with a hammy
..... 11/16 (69%), 93 yds (8.5 YPC), 1 TD
..... 146 st snaps (11/gm)

2017 - 15 games/5 starts/436 O-snaps (29/gm)
..... missed wk-2, ankle
..... 25/52 (48%), 342 yds (13.7 YPC), 1 TD
..... 122 st snaps (8/gm)

The Pats had a workout with Anderson prior to the 2016 draft.
The Pats signed Anderson to the PS on Sept. 6th, 5 days after he was wived by HOU in cut downs. The Pats have been paying him $15,000/week above the regular PS salary of $7,600/wk.

HOLLISTER, 6032/245, age 25 as of November:

2017 - 15 games/1 start/86 O-snaps (5.75)
..... healthy scratch for wk-17
..... 4/11 (36%) .. 42 yds (10.5 YPC)
..... 188 st snaps (12.5/gm)

2018 - 8 games/1 start/59 O-snaps (7.5/gm)
..... missed 4 games (hammy), missed 2 games (chest), 1 healthy scratch
..... 4/5 (80%) .. 52 yds (13.0 YPC)
..... 97 st snaps (12.5/gm)

I don't know what IRing Hollister will do to ST, but, in addition to TE, Anderson also has experience as both a WR and FB. Might be good having a big body wideout and a big RB to run up the middle near the goal line. If waived, Hollister would most likely clear waivers and wind up on the PS.
