Ferentz can't play anything at NFL level least RG. He can jump in at C and even that is a stretch..
I agree fully, but also with zuma, herron is a left side Tackle, he couldnt block a statue at RT

I would like to See a veteran o line who can Play G and T if hines can hold up at back up C

Does Miami need ST help, or was the Bethel signing purely to gather intel?
They guarantee his salary if he plays a game. So if he plays, I'd say it's not intel.

They had Hambright - the best of all backups in preseason not only playing G+T but also switching sides.
Indy - with consistently competent OL personnel and coaching - said thank you very much.

After Dante (and Popovich) NE OL project is a disgrace.
One would think they would like to put Mac in the best position to succeed . obviously they've chosen to test him with plenty of challenges : )

Sad but true. Letting Hambright go makes no sense to an outsider.

Some leftovers from yesterday:

Wynn missed practice Thursday

Funny how overrated Wynn is on the Patriots' but the rest of the league avoided him like the plague. Nobody wanted him or his contract must feel like a kick in the gut for the homers.
His contract is obviously an issue and he's been disgruntled all preseason, although I think the former was probably what scared teams away more than his play. Everyone could use a serviceable tackle, just obviously not at his current salary.

And I have to ask - why are the people rooting for the team to do well this season "homers"? You've been here long enough that I would assume you're hoping they have success this year...?

This is his way of insulting everyone who is positive. And its backfired and made him look like a clown to everyone.

I will never for the life of me understand why being hopeful and rooting for your team should make us feel bad. I am a Patriots fan and that makes me a homer...why should I feel bad about that? If people aren't homers then what are they doing here?

Agree 100% Zuma and typically the posters who always use the term "homers" aren't really fans of the Pats and are mostly "trolling".

Yep, not sure why he isnt banned as he has been doing it for years. It would make a lot of posters happy and I think a lot donate to the site.

How much money has this clown donated since being here 18 years?

Did you mean "it is rumored that he's been disgruntled all preseason"? Not to be the speech police, but it is amazing how PatsFans seems to adopt what sports reporters say (5 up and 5 down - haha) and then start to believe the reports. Is there some confirmed report I missed that Wynn is disgruntled? Because a guy does not show up for voluntary practices does not mean he is disgruntled.

I don't mind the term by itself. There are people who want to be seen as unbiased and those who don't care if they are biased. It's when people suggest that being a homer on a fan site is a bad thing that I scratch my head.

I watched his press conference during camp - he didn't look (or sound) happy. I get how things can be taken out of context elsewhere, but even that was my impression when I watched/listened to him.

I’m really surprised he was the guy that they picked - not Judon, for instance. They had an easy “out” on his contract at the end of this year if they wanted to; now, the dead cap charges would likely lock him in another year. I mean, I’m happy to hear the coaching staff is clearly impressed with his preseason performance, but I would have chosen someone who’s actually proven it in the regular season on this team like Judon, whereas Smith hasn’t done so yet.

Indeed. The various mediots thrive on creating narratives based on various perceptions that are easy to levearge thus monetize, rather than actual confirmed facts.
