got a general question about Patterson. Why is he not used as typical WR on the outside? I only see him catching screens, running jet sweeps and at RB/KR. with him and Gordon on the outside, you would think it opens up the middle for Gronk and Edelman. I have to think he is much more than a gimmick player.

He's worked at it both before and during the season but for some reason he hasn't put it together. He runs routes like Kelvin Benjamin and he should be an average to plus route runner by now.

I guess the bigger picture in my mind is that Ha-Ha Clinton Dix is a pro-bowl safety with a nose for the ball. Your assumption seems correct that that the Packers had decided that they were not going to pay the going rate to keep him.

Rodgers' deal will hamstring the Packers with regards to big money deals. Dix, at just 26 years of age, is probably going to want top of the market money. If I were to hazard a guess, and it would be just a guess based upon current NFL trends, I'd expect that Green Bay would be more willing to spend on a top CB than S at this point.

Looking at the Packers, they have other needs on defense, and they really need to do something about that offensive line with a guy like Rodgers at QB. They created a weakness out of one their strengths.

The real beneficiary in this might be Matt Patricia who now has a better shot at winning the NFC North. His defense got better with the trade for DE Damon Harrison. A win on Sunday against the Vikings could put the Lions in first place.

  • Patricia got rid of Tate
  • Green Bay got rid of Dix
  • Chicago's been overrated and should now be falling back to earth, unless they find a way to beat up on Detroit

I look for Minnesota to win the division, even though their schedule might be a little more difficult than Green Bay's moving forward.

Ok which one of you is posting on the packers forum. Stop posting. It always ends up with a stupid back and forth bickering. Makes reading other teams forums far less enjoyable.

The only time they faced each other was in 2014 when the Pats went to Green Bay and lost a close game.

Brady beat the Pack in 2010 in the game when Dan Connolly almost scored on a kickoff return, but Rodgers was hurt and didn’t play.

They technically played each other in 2006. Rodgers came in after the game was out of hand.

Because he is a lousy route runner and doesn't have any quickness. His elusiveness also only comes into play once he gets going. Of course if he ever gets into space with the ball in his hands he immediately becomes pretty dangerous.

That was a great game as well. The Pats just demolished the Pack that day. Has to be one of the worst losses at home by the Pack.

Did I hear this right? I just heard the Packers will be severely handicapped when they come to Foxboro because they'll be playing the game Sunday night without ****s

Probably posted already

Rodgers said Brady is the GOAT because he has 5 rings.

Rodgers setting things up for a failure on his part

Go Pats
