Useful snippet for the draft board regulars..... I recall him being very high on several people's boards.

Even if nothing happens on the trade deadline front, never forget...

That was a great play but a terrible game. The Pats should have rolled GB. Flynn turned that performance into millions of dollars and never came close to looking that good against anyone else.

If Alexander read this and knew the Pats history of drafting DB's he'd think to himself that he dodged a bullet. Lol.

My cb Binkie. GB had an excellent draft. 2 solid corners and picked up an extra 1 from the saints.

Two biggest needs in this game are for Mason and Michel to be back and effective. The Bills have a better defense than Green Bay does but the Bills essentially played the Pats in nickel and dime on all four downs and were able to effectively shut down the run. If Michel can't go, this may be a hard one for Brady. Clinton-Dix will be on Gronk and Gronk looks like the injuries are badly impacting him. The Pats badly need at least the threat of Michel back there. If he can't go, I hope they promote Farrow from the PS. Patterson runs with way too high of a pad level which means he's going to eventually absorb a highlight-reel quality hit which could lead to a fumble. The defense also knows that he's mostly going to run off tackle and they could easily just overload either side. White is a weapon in the passing game but he's never been a consistently good runner between the tackles.

I think White could be a good enough running option, even between the tackles. He's certainly a better option than Patterson. What's the deal with Barner?

He's had his moments, but he hasn't been anywhere near consistent between the tackles.

He sucks.

This Bills game on offense is a burn the tape type of game for the Patriots. At least in the red zone. It was one thing or the other. Either bad pass protection, poor decision making, lack of anyone getting open, ect..

They just couldn't execute. Give the Bills some credit but the Pats should have turned at least one of those other FGs into a TD if not two.

This team hasn't had 1 good road game all season and that is concerning. If they need to go on the Road to play KC they will get their ass kicked by the look of things right now.

The Patriots have never beaten Aaron Rodgers (at least I don't think they have). This needs to be the year they do it. If they drop another game they may never be able to catch KC and the season is likely as good as over if we need to go into Arrowhead. At least it looks that way to me.

The Pats need to hold serve at home and score a lot of points to do it most likely. Hopefully the 6 days off does Gronk some good. If they get passed GB and the Titans they can get to the bye week and be healthy enough to close the year out strong.

I'm glad we are playing the Packers at home. Our team is better there and they are worse on the road. Hoping Mitchell (and also Hightower) is back so that we have all of our components for a shoot-out as neither D is great. Still don't trust our D, but I'm hoping for the best.

Bummed out that it's another home night game. (said in my best Sergeant Hulka voice) "I'm getting too old for this $h!+!!"

Mercifully, I believe it is the last night game of the year.

Week 9: Packers in New England

What an absolute dumpster fire of a thread. And whoever is the stupid Pats fan going on there makes us all look bad. We generally have very intelligent discussions with opposing teams fans (except the JETS fans).

Apparently Belichick and/or McDaniels thinks Patterson is a better option than Barner, so you might be right. I, however, would give the kid another chance before I'd use Patterson as a RB again. As you mentioned in your post Patterson runs too erect.

Really hard to separate the actual Packers from the narrative "Packers are the worst team in the history of the universe but Aaron Rodgers still finds ways to win." This reminds me of the Manning era Colts, which despite its reputation from 1998-2011, still managed to squeak by with a Hall of Fame General Manager (Polian), a Hall of Fame Coach (Dungy), likely two Hall of Fame receivers (Harrison and Wayne), possibly a Hall of Fame defensive end (Freeney), another perennial pro-bowl, all-pro defensive end (Mathis), a Defensive Player of the Year (Sanders), and a Hall of Fame kicker (Vinatieri). How did Manning ever win a football game with that sad cast of misfits?

How big a loss is Clinton-Dix for the Packers? I am just looking at his stats, and he has 8 interceptions in the last 1.5 seasons. That seems like a lot of play-making ability, but I know very little beyond the stats. Why would they trade him? Is he just overrated and a liability in other areas? I get that teams are looking to get a return for players whose contracts are expiring, but aren't the Packers supposed to be contending this year?

He's one of the 4 players on that defense who isn't a JAG. The only safety. Gronk better sack up for this one, because he'll be busy.

according to PFF hes one of the 4 best safties in the league.

The compensation for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix will likely reveal how he was valued, IMO.

I am thinking the Skins gave up a 2 at least.....
