The notion of the "Foxboro flu" was overblown.

Besides the fact that being on IR means you can't practice with the team, virtually every UDFA rookie under Belichick who went on IR ended up getting cut before the next draft. I hope the Patriots under Vrabel will give Lampe a second chance.

There was a lot of talk on here about who can do what but in the few days of camp so far I've only heard/seen Lampe line up at FB. Obviously that will have to change in the coming days.

Dippre is taller, heavier, faster and stronger (32 bench vs 22) than Lampe. But I don't know if he has that FB mentality - takes a special sort of person.
