Sorta a waste of position in today's NFL though. It'd make a lot more sense to have a H-TE serve that role (they had Westover line up there 2nd half of practice I heard)
Or use a LB (like Gibbens?)
Or best bet is have a guy like Strange provide versatility as FB. He's super athletic, moves well, and likely won't be starting at LG. But could serve 2 purposes. I bet he could catch and run like Develin

Also known as - a psychopath

Can Lampe agree to an inury settlement and come back to someone's Practice Squad?

But what made Lampe possibly so intriguing is/was his pass-catching ability. Add that to his lead-blocking & occasional ball-carrying, and that's a combination that none of the players mentioned above would've been able to match. He might've had a chance to become our own, scaled-down version of Kyle Juszczyk, or what I thought Michigan's Ben Mason could've become out of the 2021 draft...

That sucks! There was definitely a roster spot on the team for him. We could have kept 2 TEs plus Lampe on the 53 and called up a 3rd TE for given game plans or in case of injury.

Nooooooo! Dam 2nd day of pads. What happened?? You alright. Nobody talking about it?

Bell isn’t a lead blocker, he’s an H-Back, which they really don’t need because they already have 4 backs that are good receivers out of the backfield.
Yeah his build and playstyle doesn’t seem like it would lend itself to the position.

Hello, Dalton.

Dalton Keene. Remember him? H back from Va Tech.

Wrong, Pilgrim.

If one or both the top TEs can’t play, gotta have fall back options.

Hunter Henry is the Drake Security Blanket. Without him, Maye will force throws, take off running, and look to dump off to TreVeyon Henderson in the flats or on a wheel route.

But that’ll get old fast.

State: He's ^ getting some mentions at TC former converted WR now TE from Ohio State.

There must be some good young FBs out there. It's an underdrafted position.
