It's not even really a conversation anymore. Brady is the GOAT. That much is known to most fans. Hopefully it will be ended once and for all in 13 days.

Tom missed the entire 2008 season. Both have played 15 years in the NFL.

Joe missed almost all of 91 and 92. Got hurt in an NFC title game. The guy was no wear near As durable as Brady. Joes team also missed the playoffs in a strike shortened season one year. The longetivity is what sets them apart

What? 1 or 2 more than Brady? Montana lost 3 years due to injury and a strike
why are we arguing? both great quarterbacks. we also get youre a montana fan..notre dame ties.

we can frame this however you want. how about this:
- montana 1 and out - 36% of time (4/11)
- brady 1 and out - 14% of time (2/14)

Brady has been to the playoffs 14 times. He's been one and done just twice.
Montana went to the playoffs 11 times. He was one and done 4 times.

The final tally is that Joe didn't become a starter until halfway through his second season when the 49ers weren't any good. Had a season cut short due to the strike and missed the playoffs. And missed 2 years with injuries. That's 10 years vs Brady's 15. One guy is clearly more durable than the other. Especially when you consider Joe missed other regular season games in other years

Can't fault a team for not making the playoffs in a strike shortened season
You can't?
Why not they played the same game as every other season.
Everyone played the same number of games and there were actually extra playoff teams.

Not really sure. I said that Brady had more longetivity than Montana and people took that as a slight. Montana missed a lot of games with injuries. Even had to leave two title games I believe. Not arguing Montana is better when I have stated in multiple threads including this one. Then certain things were said where I had to present facts that Montanas sample size is smaller. 24 wins in 15 years as a starter vs 16 in 11 is similar. Although 24 in 15 is better. All I'm saying is that Montana could have won more if he could have stayed healthy. But he didn't. So Brady is better.
