I've never seen a player so clearly distraught stand up like that and hop on the cart. Hard to know what it could be.
I didn't see any traumatic injury (leg, back, etc). It looked more like he was delirious from a concussion. Announcers said he had 3 in the past few years? Maybe the trauma from the concussion and the realization that his mental health is in jeopardy just kinda hit him and he got emotional? Who knows

The Saints defense just reminded me wayyyy too much of Pats. Giving up crucial 3rd down plays....
Crazy how not all NFL defenses are perfect. I would encourage Pats fans, specifically ones that tend to comment in the game thread and start threads after a loss, watch some other NFL games. They would be surprised how normal it is for defenses to not look great in today's NFL.

Yeah I agree but this year is Super Bowl or bust. Time is running out it looks like we are going to have some massive roster turnover next season and TB is a year older. So I don't want to see them lose because they can't stop any decent QB. Watching the highlights of the Seattle game is alarming.. just playing soft zones and letting players run right behind them in the end zone.

Understand your concern from the Seattle game, but it is one game. I trust BB and co. will figure it out.

But why will we have massive roster turnover next season? Have you seen our cap situation next year? We have a ridiculous amount of cap space and only a handful of guys that are must re-signs (Hightower, Butler, Bennett).

The one thing that I think can bite the Pats in the ass is the lack of leveraging first round picks (1. we had last year's stolen and 2. we got rid of Easley/Chandler). Look around the league: if you don't hit on your first round picks, it puts you in a very tough position both from a talent and cap perspective (first round picks having the 5th year option).

Regardless, we'll always be in contention with BB/Brady at the helm.

Umm- seriously? Does our defense often give up important 3rd down plays? The answer is yes. I was simply commenting on that similarity. Did I say our defense did not look great? I did not. Can I post a comment about an obvious weakness on the Pats defense without an admonishment from a fatherly Patriots defense watchdog? Apparently not.

We dont have zone dbs, save McCourty. Butler is meh in zone, Ryan us awful, Chung may be worse (earned him hus ticket out of here.) That was a pitiful example of game planning. Its like BB and Patricia sat around for two weeks and decided plan "e" (send 2 drop 9, send 3 drop 8) was really plan "a" after a bottle of bourbon and a few bong hits with LaGarrette.

Well what we do with the picks like get rid of them as of late or miss on them.. we just have to make those misses up in free agency.

Also the Jimmy G trade him for a 1st rounder or keep him will be very interesting.

Yes, seriously. Maybe you got paranoid that you were lumped into the groups I mentioned but my statement is accurate. This **** happens routinely throughout the NFL. Even the beloved Seahawks D and other reputable defenses throughout the league give up 3rd down conversions, lots of points and overall don't look great on occasion. It's the nature of today's NFL. No, the Pats D did not look good on Sunday but if you looked at the game thread and the threads created throughout the week you would think the Pats were the worst defense of all time and there's no chance we can win a Super Bowl with them. I personally think that's ridiculous.

sorry to disapoint but we are what we are. Brees cant keep on carrying the team. WR's miss big plays, our RB's are 20th and well ... Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving with your families. Im going to go drink this off lol. Ill always love the boys though.

Brees has had Brady's back during Defakegate, and he continues to speak out against ****dell. Sean Payton too. For that, the Saints and Brees will always have my respect.

that's true...respect to NO

Can we keep this thread on topic guys?

Back to the thread, I feel bad for Luke, it could be concussion related, he suffered few concussions already and it be bad for him if he got another one.

This is why some players are retiring early these days because concussion is horrible, especially later in life. No amount of money is worth for what they are going to go through later in life.

Oh shoot, I thought I was in the game thread?

Is it just me or did Brees look like he lost some arm strength?

We played more man than zone. Your comment is invalid.
