Thursday Night Football....Raiders @ Chiefs

Carr is missing his receivers by a mile. The pinkie injury seems to be wrecking his accuracy, although he also has notably small hands and has a bit of a tendency to struggle in cold weather, so it might not be all the pinkie injury. In any case, if these issues persist it changes the complexion of the AFC quite a bit. The Raiders aren't all that scary if Carr is diminished in a significant way.

OMG! he could have caught that. Carr did his job

Lucky... So close.

Maybe Cooper could have laid out for it but it be tough. That was over thrown and outside his expected route to the right by 1-2 yards. Wasn't going to be a TD as at best it be an amazing diving catcg... maybe... Maybe just uncatchable though.

Wait dont the chiefs have a better divisional record than us? They will be undefeated if they win tonight and we have a loss to the Bills. I believe they would get the tiebreaker if we finished with the same record

I'm not certain, but I'd assume division record is irrelevant for this situation and from my reading, it's head-to-head then conference record that will be the first two tiebreakers for deciding seeding.

No but is should be ready to play and not throw up on himself at this point in his career. I didn't compare him to Brady.
Oh for sure. I guess what I'm trying to say is I can't look at Carr and use him as a gauge for how Brady would fair against the Chiefs.

Ahh okay, i always thought divisional record came before conference record but i could be wrong, ill have to look it up

FWIW, it looks like he is prepared and good to go. He's making the right reads, he's moving well in the pocket, and is generally doing everything you'd hope for... with one notable exception. His accuracy is just way off the mark, and I don't think his injury can be discounted with that. I just went and threw a football out of curiosity, and granted I'm sure my form was total **** and all that but my pinkie was prominently involved in the whole thing. Seems like a pretty huge adjustment to ask of a pro-QB, to basically say "not only can you not use your finger, but you're going to have to protect it too". I think Carr's issues are more related to his injury and maybe the weather too than to any mental breakdown or lack of preparation.

And yeah, I know we've watched Brady play through broken fingers on his throwing hand and remain effective in a way that just defies comprehension, but it's really not fair to measure anyone else against Brady. Nobody else can live up to his standard.

Lets put something together here Chiefs.

KC's safeties suck...play after play they let single recivers beat them deep because they keep peeking into the backfield while the receiver goes right by them

For conference seeding, division record not a factor.
