There's No Way Schuster Makes This Team.

If he's really bad in camp, they may do a buyout with him. Here's his cap situation:

I don't believe JuJu is done.

This is one of these situations where he's having a good game in three years, and you can't believe he is still in the league.

JuJu will have to be 100% healthy and show something in training camp to make this team
???
Douglas is a lock
Baker is a lock
Polk is a lock
Osborne is a lock
If we carry 4, we're done.
If we carry 5, there is Bourne, Reagor, Thornton and Boutte all competing for the spot, and IMO would make it as the 5th WR before Shuster.

Shuster is gone. He probably won't even be in camp

If they release him or trade him after June 1st they actually save cap for '24.
Not much of a savings going from 12.2 million to 9.6 million in 2024 and then another 2.6 million in 2025.

Then you might as well drive him to Logan so he can make his flight to Kansas City.

I was team Patten. I hadn't set up my own account yet but I lurked and occasionally posted on my father's account and I know I made my opinion known. Patten is still one of my all time favorites.

I wish I had as much faith in Juju. He's like the exact opposite of Patten. Juju is Big money low production high expectations. Patten had come off a decent year in Cleveland but there were little expectations and he vastly exceeded them.

The no way Patten makes this team debate I believe was during the 04 camp and he still pitched in that year glad we kept him.

I'd like to think there's still a role for Juju even if he's not going to ever reach the expectations.
Juju was a great player prior to his injuries. He's not even 30 yet and his career could be tetering.. when healthy he can still be productive, But whenever he has been on the field save for one game against pittsburgh last year he's been a non factor. Baker and Polk being drafted, KJ being signed all put pressure on him to get healthy and stay healthy.

I think he missed he flight to KC so he got diverted to Logan airport and had been on standby..

Plenty time to make a decision on him. I say bring him to camp, see what he can do. If he doesn’t crack the top 6 trade him in a late rd swap, according to otc post june 1 you can trade him for $7.6 m savings this yr. Unless you really need the space earlier then unload him sooner but i doubt it

Agreed. He's under contract so mini-camp will tell where he's at with his injuries. I don't know that he'll have any trade value.. an injured WR with little production last season.. likely he gets cut with an injury settlement if he's not healthy.

Trading would be more for the financial relief , im not sure we could get the same savings by cutting him. Late round swap at best in terms of value.

It would. The thing is while a team take him? He's pretty much a distressed asset. Parker went for what a 6th?

I’m willing to bring him to camp he looked very good with Mahommes a lot of fans were happy with the signing some calling him their number 1 target.
I didn’t keep receipts, I was in the let Jacobi walk because he was team Mac.
I knew Mac had to go it was like watching the little engine who really couldn’t.
You wanted to get excited for something anything and hope he grew courage and escapability and a semblance of an arm but he just couldn’t.
When Bill didn’t let him throw against Buff I was really concerned.
Then when Bill said he didn’t think we could throw a hail Mary against the Raiders was the same as a girl telling her BF she wished he was bigger the relationship is headed for a split.

The best thing that could have happened to Mac is a parting of ways and the team doing Mac a solid by trading him to the jags so he could be back home. I hope Mac does well in Jacksonville.

Hopefully so if parker went. Could even give the other team the better pick if we really hafta unload him
