The Week after a Loss Sucks

It sure takes a little bit of the confidence you have in how your team will play the next week back a little bit for sure lol but it sure has been a while.

It had been almost a year since we had lost meaningful game when we went to Green Bay.

Well rather now than later. Only win streak that matters now is going 3-0 during the playoffs.

I just avoided football for a few days and dug myself deep into some things I needed to get done. It worked out for me.

I agree 1000 percent. Especially in this case. I deemed the denver game as our last key game to win in order to be 14-0 heading into the final two games of the season. That would have been real fun. Oh well, undefeated dream over. Back to reality i suppose. I'm not annoyed anymore at least, just disappointed.

The loss hurt more than it should have. It wasn't a playoff game, we're still on top of our division, and we have the first seed (for now). Yet it took almost all week for me to recover. Don't think I'm alone. We didn't even get a "We're on to the Eagles" thread, I think.

I kept telling myself imagine how the Seahawks fans felt or even GB in the NFCCG.

21-7 in the 4th with them punting is what is really hard for me to get over. And the late clock Management up 21-17. But that is why I kept saying "hey its not a playoff game" imagine if this were the AFCCG.. and then I realized how awful GB fans and Seattle fans must have felt so much worse if I was feeling this badly.

I can take a loss just fine. If a better team beats you "it is what is is" as BB would say. "They outperformed and out coached us." BB would say.

The loss sucks because the calls the officials made on the field were one sided and appeared to have malice and intent Against the Patriots. To hear Roger and other refs defend that **** show this week is maddening. That to me is what sucked about the loss and now the fear instilled that they can get away with that crap in close games. Again I'd be ok with the loss itself if they actually performed better on the field, but when your team executes on 3rd down on both offense and defense and the flags come just about every time you do to extend a drive or kill a drive, it's enough to really get you angry.

Wouldn't be surprised if a player is so offended by a bogus call that he straight up knocks a ref out one of these days. One of those calls that has NFL agenda written all over it.

The calls did suck. But the Pats blew the game before that point. The muffed punt is the biggest reason. But the clock management at the end was bad.

Just bounce back tomorrow. All these games are big now in terms of playoff seeding. Players have to start stepping up and making plays.

Didn't blow anything. Couldn't kill the clock because of penalties. Couldn't get them off the field partially due to penalties. Sure Harpers fumble had a ton to do with it but when you execute on offense and defense on critical 3rd downs and they are wiped out because of tick tack or phantom penalties there is a problem. Especially with calls that could easily be found on the other side of the ball on every play but yet magically not called. Still tied it despite that clock management error at the end with the refs trying to sneak a fast one over the Patriots but Brady was having no part of it. If your are talking about the Patriots clock management being bad then sure better plays could of been called but it didn't matter. Again even when they did execute it seemed like it was taken away.

Would have won the game with better play calling at the end. Sorry facts are stubborn. But yes the calls sucked.

We haven't had this feeling in a while..and yes this week has sucked..the loss...other issues ect...#ontothenextone

Could have won the game with crappy play calling if the calls were fair.

Do I know you?

Probably not. I'm also sure you probably don't know MacPherson, Rust, Berry, Meyer, or Erhardt.. I could go further back, but if you lived through those days, a loss in the space of a freaking year definitely doesn't suck.

McPherson....heh...jeezus, PP2...why not bring up the Chosin Death March? I had season tickets I wanted to burn after THAT debacle

Agree to disagree. Phantom Pi calls on offense and defense, illegal QB hits that are not called, hands to face that wipe out 50 yard gains are not part of the play calling. They are called drive killers.

Regardless if some didn't like the run calls or the Chandler deep passes, in most of those final drives in the 4th quarter there were circumstances out of the coaches and players control that left a conversion on the field that could of extended the drives and clock killing. Left to ref discretion and not a whole lot of discretion aimed Denvers way.
