It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Assuming Gronk gets his lazy arse on the field anytime soon. His blocking performance last week was immense. Too many people just get caught up watching the football/stat lines. Running behind him and Gronk is going to be fun this year. The two TE offence we had under Gronk and A-Hern may well be back.
I wasn't one of those posters, but to be fair I think it was probably spurred by a writer (I forget which one) who did a thought exercise speculating on a potential shocking cut.Week 3/4 of the preseason, certain posters were claiming that Bennett was on the bubble, and took some offense when I stated how ridiculous that was.
Hopefully they've come around, and have learned something from the experience.
He's now in a place where his football IQ is finally being respected. In a manner of speaking, he has died and gone to football heaven.
I wonder too if Gronk being out hasn’t helped Bennett from a mental standpoint. He’s looked at as a pretty top-shelf tight end, but entering a situation where he no way shape or form would be considered the best tight end on the team.
As so many of these guys thrive on being the alpha dog, Gronk not being around maybe helped...he threw himself into the blocking role against Arizona (yesterday too, but he was more involved in the passing game yesterday), not because he was a secondary choice, but because he’s a team guy and all that—the top tight end on the field, willing to do whatever it takes, etc.
Just seems like a good way to get him to become a Patriot. And when Gronk does come back, the dude’s already proved his bona fides with the Pats—he’ll block, he’ll register a 100+ yard game, whatever…bring it on. Not a bad way to start at all.
Yeah, just idle speculation really. Great start for the dude.I'm not sure the Bennett sees it that way....he's a pretty free thinker, and the reality is with the emphasis the team has placed on TE, there's room for 2 #1 TE's here....in 2011, the Pats came 90 yards short of having 2 1000 yard TE's......I think these 2 could achieve it.....both can block and both can get big yards per catch......
2 headed monster........they can feed off each other

I meant my initial post was idle speculation.what isn't around here that hasn't already happened?
he's got similar ypc, and in 2 games, he's an almost 80% compl/tgt.....it's a reasonable assumption if they can be out there for 12-13 games together

Per Mike Lombardi, the Pats needed to fix the running game.
Did they upgrade at RB? No.
Did they upgrade on the OL? Well, there's Thuney.
The biggest upgrades may have been Marty and Scar.

Absolutely, and not surprising, really.Kinda funny how we spend years hearing about how players want to play for guys like Rex Ryan first and foremost. Turns out that lots of players--particularly the ones you'd most want to begin with--prefer winning to a "players' coach"
Well, technically Andrews at C (was benched when Stork came back) and Mason and Karras at RG.
I know Mason played last year but from what IIRC Mason primarily lined up at the LG spot.

So Dion Lewis at RB is not good? This year Blount sucks too?Why drafting RB in 2016 when you have such a talent in 2017 draft. As well as OT.Per Mike Lombardi, the Pats needed to fix the running game.
