This report is biased and highly suspect. 1. No definitive finding of wrong doing. 2. Interpretation of E-mails that are open to question. 3. Indicting a man character with suspect evidence that would be laughed out of court. 4. If Brady is suspended and appeals a netural and unbiased hearings officer would overrule that suspension without question. 4. If tom Brady chooses to go after Wells for defamation of character he probably more than likely would obtain a judgment against him. Now is the time for the Pats to stand up to the commish.

Wells careful in his wording. Brady won't be able to sue for defamation. He can file a suit if he is suspended and a good chance to win like the Bountygate players.

I think if the NFL tries to suspend Brady after this stupid report the Patriots should refuse to play the season opener and ruin kickoff night

No play and kill the Squeelers, but certainly a fan boycott no empty stands and no on at their pre game concerts and other activities. Embarrass the damn league.

So this entire report is a complete joke correct? It seems like Wells is just making a bunch of guesses without any viable evidence. Can someone confirm this?

I'm sure this will somehow result in the loss of a first round pick.

If Brady is punished at all, it will be a crock of ****. There isn't any evidence that he did anything wrong. Just Wells taking a guess that he and the organization acted with malice. If he's suspended the entire season, I won't be following the NFL at all in 2015.
Actually, according to Wells, it was all Brady. He explicitly exonerates the organization.

Are people just going to ignore this? I'm not saying Brady's guilty, but it definitely doesn't help and in the court of public opinion he pretty much is guilty

The uptick in communications between Brady and the attendants could simply be Brady trying to find out for himself how they handled the balls that day after the accusation was made. I bet there were lots of upticks in communications between various Patriots-associated personnel the morning after this accusation.

Whatever else, this guy was incredibly stupid to be text crap this way.

I'm the biggest Brady fan there is and I'm just bringing this up to be fair. This whole thing pisses me off as much as anyone.

Don't see this as a problem. I am a lawyer and have been involved in internal investigations before. Non-lawyers get scared when they are being investigated, even if they did nothing wrong, and tend to act in ways that might be seen as incriminating to lawyers and the public.

It can't. The Wells report specifically exonerates the Patriots organization for any wrongdoing or tampering. It can only punish Tom Brady

another point. 1 min 40 seconds is enough time to deflate all of the balls.

right then.

I'm starting to wonder if TB12 got a heads-up on the report, potential for dicipline and chose not to go to the White House b/c of it....Ugh...bad thoughts be gone!

Why doesn't the report mention that the four Colts' balls both had mostly also fallen below spec, and also did not lose as much pressure as science would suggest?

Wells' conclusion is essentially: "Science says X amount of pressure loss should occur. The Pats experienced >X, the Colts experienced <X. The Pats probably tampered, don't worry about the Colts."

The whole thing sucks. That it exists. That suggestion is king.

That's the first thing that crossed my mind but to someone(Wells) who had already arrived at a conclusion before he had started the investigation, something that obvious would not have even occurred to him.
