After Brady throws a pick, are you upset with his lack of effort to tackle?

Sorry, I'm not going to read every page of this thread. But, as I said, Guyton was in the bottom third of defensive liabilities today.

Maybe I'm thinking of a different play but I'm pretty sure that was Ninkovich who lost his man?

Actually, Ninkovich chipped Chandler and handed him off and started to rush the passer. I couldn't tell who the player was, but it was either Guyton or Spikes as I saw only the first 5 on the front of the Jersey. And Fletcher was on the field. I could tell that by the skin tone.

Actually, the Bills pass rush did NOT force 4 interceptions. It didn't force the one that was tipped off of Woodhead's hands. Nor did it force the one when Brady was trying to throw to Gronkowski. Least you could do is be factual.

I guess the sarcasm went over your head.

Interesting, considering he didn't actually rush the passer on that play.

Re: Time to give up on the one gap 43 aggressive D that cant stop anyone

This is BY FAR the worst defense this team has played since BB has been here. Worse than 02, worse than 05.
Can we please go back to what has worked for a decade and give up on the experiment that has failed?

Given the current roster who are the 3-4 DEs? I agree with everything you said but given the current roster I think that's the road block. Maybe Vince on the nose and if Haynesworth and Wright can get healthy but who rotates in? Brace and Desderick off of the pup....it's a mess.

Really? So the blown calls by the refs that game Buffalo 45 yards in penalties meant nothing?? That's hilarious since it led, directly, to the game tying score..
It of course had an impact but the fact remains the defense still had a chance to make a stop on one last drive and they did not. Calls can and will go either way. You have to play well enough to make their effect minimal on the outcome of the game. That Patriots are not doing that overall.

I know people will just say, "THEY WILL LOOK AMAZING WHEN THEY PLAY ARE D!!!" but the Jets truly look like **** on offense.

Re: Bill O'Brien Lost this Game

Brady put 31 points on the board nad almost 500 yards of offense. Only 1 of the the Ints hurt the defense more than a punt would.
This loss was all about a defense that was totally incompetent when it mattered.

The defense was terrible but the offense did its part too by handing the ball repeatedly to the Bills and not holding on to the ball when it counted due to penalties, dropped passes, etc. We know that the defense sucked but the offense did everything they could to make life tough for the defense.

The scheme did not need to be changed. All they needed were better players to fit the scheme. This 4-3 thing is not working, IMO.

It took 4 Brady picks on the road against a divisional tough team to lose by 3 points. If this is the bad game Brady has for the remaining of the year I like our chances come in guys it's week 3 we will be fine we had a injured plagued team today as well didn't have the x factor Hernandez and a depleted secondary with Chung and Ras out

Ocho's TD drop the last straw for him?

The clock was going to keep running since it was reverted to a completion and not a TD.

And don't forget that the Patriots were also missing Vollmer, which further limited what they could do on O.

Respectfully, how do you expect a better outcome with the 3-4? We saw the same things happen last year and the year before and the year before that one.
In a 3-4, we'd be relying on Spikes and Cunningham of all people and the sieve secondary would be the same.

Haynesworth and Ellis. Love and Cohen as backps until more health.
Line up in a 43 if you want, don't much matter, but the 2 gap zone coverage base that we have played forever has to be better than what we are playing now that is giving us the worst results ever.

No, we didnt see the same things happen last year.
Last year after the first 1/4 of the season as the young guys melded in, we were top 5 in points allowed. Most of the first 1/4 of the season numbers were playing prevent.
We did not let teams drive down the field with zero resistance to tie us and then to go ahead, particularly not a team led by Ryan freaking Fitzpatrick

That's a positive spin for this game. But expectations for this team are high, and not sure they are built for the playoffs.

vs. Raiders Next week

My fantasy pick is Darius Heyward Bay. I say he puts up 6 168 vs. McToasty

The offense put up 495 yards of offense and 31 point. 2 turnovers were in the endzone and a third around midfield. That is no worse that a 'normal' offense punting. Nothing you described above actually happened, but a 95 yard drive in 2 plays plus 2 penalties did.

they just scored vs Jets, up 24-17

Welcome to 9 and 7 No playoffs. You are who you are.

This team is 12-4 with the worst defense in the NFL. It doesnt have to have the worst defense in the NFL.
