It was a good game. A let down by the Pats was to be expected after two tough games against top teams. And the Texans came to play (something they haven't done in the past few weeks). Clearly take the win
Games aren't won or lost at halftime. The victor will be the team that makes the best adjustments and comes out with the most fire and passion. I expect that to be the Patriots.
No lead is safe for Houston, as their recent history has shown.
Just saying... the first half should surprise no one given the circumstances. I never doubted that they would pull off the win. This team is still winning despite not having played a full 60 minutes of their best football yet. They're the last team anyone is going to want to tango with in December/January and February.
Unfortunately the one channel from Boston I get here is CSNNE which Iam watching for post game and felger is going on and on on ridley standing on the line with the 'stupid' hat and how he is useless to this team blah blah and ripping Donte Hightower. Almost ripping gost but stopped. Christmas came early for felger with these guys.:bricks: ...one of the worst media outlets in the country.
Equals screwed without Tom Brady. He's been putting on a master class in the last few games. He, Gronk and Edelman have put the team on their backs in recent weeks.
They have the stats and moving the ball well, but the offenses of 10-12 were just very efficient on third down, Welker moved the chains consistently, Woodhead was clutch on important plays, Gronk was Gronk, and the piece we miss the most in IMO was Hernandez what a matchup nightmare he was.
I think that this offense might be better than the 10-12 teams', and if they aren't right now, they will be by the end of the season.
Gronk looks to be back to full Gronkness, and with Edelman, Amendola, Hobson, and Thompkins, we have the deepest WR unit we've had since the years when Brady's "favorite receiver was the open receiver."
Additionally, I think that Shane Vereen will prove to be a huge weapon, almost a RB/WR combo, and add an element to the offense that's unique to the NFL.
I think this adds up to an offense that's just impossible get a game-plan advantage against. You have to stop them with pure execution.
jeezus k. rist the confirmation bias on this board is off the friggin' hook.
do any of you EVER enjoy ANYTHING?....the Pats are 9-3...if precious blabberguts Ryan was coaching THIS team with these key injuries, using MY confirmation bias, we'd be 0-12.

Antonio Smith is suspicious of how well prepared the Patriots were of some defensive wrinkles the #Texans have never put in games before.

There were things that the Pats have to work on - - based on this game and last week.
Any team playing them from here on out can see the painfully obvious. They cannot stop the run right now. Houston would have won today had they just kept it on the ground.
Now lets be fair here....it did take a last second hail mary against NO....and if Welkah hadn't screwed up on the PR call....god only knows what may have happened. Fact is Pats have been leaking oil a lot this year...
QUOTE=Ozymandias;3664690]I guess beating Denver and the Saints playing like that doesn't count now. I mean, because they're not legit Super Bowl contenders or anything.
This is the NFL, dude. Wins are incredibly difficult. I'll take a win by 3 or 30, no matter the score. As long as they win at the end because that's all that matters.[/QUOTE]
