Game Day Thread The Official Patriots vs. Steelers : GAME DAY THREAD 2015 Week 1 (9/10)

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

I haven't been in the game thread, but some random thoughts about the first half:

  • I hope Easley isn't the next Dowling.
  • Missing a long FG isn't just 3 points; there's also some field position.
  • Between the FGs and the botched TD catch, the Steelers could easily have 13 points, and the Patriots might have fewer.
  • Gostkowsi's second extra point jerked oddly to the right. Some kind of wind?
  • Michaels misdescribed the botched TD, in terms of which was the offending foot. The problem is that the left foot was barely out of bounds, along with the right foot that was well out.
  • Even successful plays can be somewhat inaccurate throws. I'm thinking of Brady's throw behind Edelman for the first down, Brady's rainbow to Amendola that could have gone longer if it was perfectly in stride, and one of Roethlisberger's rainbows down the right sideline similarly.
  • Rough start for Solder.
  • I love Gronk's celebrations -- not just the spikes, but the group hugs with 3+ broad-shouldered guys in his very widely outstretched arms.
  • Both teams had some scripted plays that worked well early. So be it.
  • Other than the inside LB sack, I'm not seeing much pressure on Roethlisberger.
  • Happily, I'm not seeing that much pressure on Brady either.
  • Collinsworth thinks it's obvious that Jones is one the Patriots' best players. Reminds me of a thread we had a few days ago.
I enjoy this type of post.

Edelman > Welker

And I will say this till the end of time lol

jules needs help on the other side..he cant take this beating all yr

Im calling 7pts here , their DS and LB's are not doing well

Nice run and nice hole by our O line

Dion lewis plays with such a contagious energy! Looks like he loves to play the game. Awesome to watch

Big hole. Who opened thatup? Tre?

Our 305lb TE is great.

Dion Lewis must have a solid YPC this game

The mixing up of tempo is killing the Steelers.

Damn Lewis looks sharp.

The thing that I like most about Lewis is that he isn't just bouncing it outside. The second he sees a crease, he hits it hard. That kind of vision is what separates good athletes from good RBs.

  • Agree
Reactions: JJC
Mike Williams clearing brush

Fantastic seal by the OL

If you give Lewis a hole the size of a quarter, he will squeeze through.
