I'm in no position to watch the game (travel), but from what I read, it sounds very Belichickean -- take away red zone execution and ST plays and the Pats are probably doing worse than the opponent, but in real life they're ahead on the scoreboard.

That said, there have been some good 3-and-outs when Detroit approaches FG range. Gotta love it when it happens on 1st-and-5.
